Will definitely be back to try the many other creative food on the menu! Do swing by if you are looking for a place to chill or have your meal before the place gets crowded!

Sesame taste lovers - there is a shave ice sesame flavor available here. Try! Portion is enough for 2 person.

Watermelon and mango shaved ice is awesome Those who like really really sour, try their shaved ice special, the lemon calamansi shaved ice. The environment and setting is cosy and comfortable.

Not familiar with this mall; found the unit outside after seeing photos shared by others and it is just situated right by the taxi stand. Very cutely designed dainty eatery with yummy food. In fact, all my orders are great tasting, even the milk tea. Will definitely patronize again when in the area. Servers are very friendly and helpful too. * Half of my order were to-go but was charged services charge for everything. However, since I wanted to taste each of them there, so I didn't ask for a refund. May want to double check your receipt for takeaways.

Taiwanese food in the area. Dine-in for lunch at here. Queue about 20 minutes, was the first one on the queue. The outlet is not big. Took 40 minutes to get the food served. It was too long. Wanted to order rice but the rice was finished and was told need to wait 20 minutes for the rice, I was thinking the food would be ready less than 20 minutes but I was wrong. 40 minutes and wanted to ordered additional rice but still have to wait. Braised pork was good, the chicken was so so, a bit dry on the chickens. Dessert shaved ice cream was served less than 5 minutes after asked to serve. The portion was big. Seems to much for one person. Staffs were friendly though. Monkey decorations and bananas were seen inside the outlet.

Tasty Taiwan dishes at Star Vista which you won’t want to miss. There’s hit and miss on their dishes, and some are quite pricy; but overall the dishes are delicious. If you miss going Taiwan and their local delicacies, you may want to go down and have a try. Don’t judge the food based on the images, each dish has its own unique taste even though it does not look that fantastic on image. Service is good and staff on 13 March PM shift are friendly and let you know what are the dishes that have been sold out or recommend you their preferred dish or the popular dishes if you don’t know what to try. Go down early if you don’t want to be disappointed when they tell you that some dishes have sold out. Taste: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Food selection: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Overall: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Food was not too bad, not sure where all the negative reviews came from. 盐酥鸡 and 面线 are goooood. 蛋饼 could have more eggs but otherwise it's good!

First visit to Monki, Sunday night 7ish was about half filled. Easy to find the restaurant since it is literally beside the taxi stand at Star vista. As mentioned by some, there are hit and misses in the dishes (FYI No Gst). Ordered the following: 1. Lu rou fan (Hit) 2. Popcorn chicken (Hit) 3. Street snack (cuttlefish ball & prawn roll) (Hit) 4. Oyster omelette (Miss) 5. Bitter gourd chicken soup (Hit) 6. Plain handmade noodle/vermicelli (Miss) 7. Monki milk tea (75% sugar?) (Miss) 1. Lu rou fan Above average I would say. The meat is generous and the sauce is enough for every mouthful of rice. Half a bowl of Fatty pieces of meat chucks drenched in savoury sauce. 2. Popcorn chicken Has a nice crispy batter, and it wasn't as salty as the reviews have mentioned. I found it to be at the right amount of saltiness where most of the taste came from the batter itself. 3. Street snack Cuttlefish ball is well too normal, pretty ex for $4. But the ngoh hiang is great, it seems to have a thin extra layer of batter around it as compared to normal. The thin batter made it more crispy and flavourful. Not sure if it is the same batter as the chicken? But tasted awesome. 4. Oyster omelette As most have mentioned, it has an extremely gooey texture which can be abit off-putting for most ppl I guess. Personal opinion is I don't really like it as well. It has vegetables within the omelette as well which you don't find in most. 5. Bitter gourd chicken soup Surprisingly a good find within the menu. Slight bitterness with a little sweetness and savouriness that you find in those Chinese herbal soups but without the overwhelming herbal taste. Meat portion is generous as well since they gave two decently sized chicken drumsticks in the soup. Tender off the bone. 6. Plain handmade noodle/vermicelli From what I taste, it seems to be simply dressed with scallion oil & vinegar. Not much savoury flavour (that i can taste) within since it's heavily overwhelmed by the vinegar dressing. I basically used the lu rou sauce to cover the heavy vinegar taste. Handmade noodle texture is nice though. 7. Monki milk tea You can just give the milk tea a miss. Way better milk tea can be found anywhere else. Tasted like milk mixed in with water. Barely any Tea flavour and mild milk taste. I asked for 75% sugar, but not sure was it 75% ? (cashier just confirmed it was sweetened) Had to take out the ice so it wouldn't get anymore diluted. Save your money and don't order this drink, please. That concludes my longass review. Lol Overall, would say you can come back for the signature Lu Rou Fan, pretty good portion & flavour for around $9+. The ngoh hiang can try as well, but can be slightly ex since it is $4+ for 3 pieces. Just need to avoid the dishes that most patrons have mentioned in the reviews previously.

Kinda Disappointed As Some Of The Items Were Not Available. Fully Packed On A Tue Nite, Seemed Like Short Staffed. But Still Service Quite Gd. Popcorn Chicken, Fried Sweet Potato Fries & The Chilled Peach & Lychee Drink Were Above My Expectations. Bill Added Up To $36.50. Affordable Taiwanese Food.
