Review Mak's Noodle - Singapore

Like what many other customers have said, the portion is extremely small. It is not even enough to fill an adult's stomach. However, I like the shrimp dumplings. I guess they have to increase the portion of the noodles to charge that kind of price. I guess I will not be patronising again as the portion is really way too small!!!

Totally not worth the price especially for the quantity...taste not fantastic, there are definitely much better ones. Confirm over-priced for tat kinda tiny portion. First and also be the last time! More branches gonna close down if the mgmt refused to make improvements and changes to their pricing and serving portion!

The food is great but the service really pissed me off! On 301216, your staff immediately cleared my plates and hindered me from drinking my drink! I understand that the human flow at that timing increased, I think that your staff should not stand at my side while I am consuming my drink and food! Please educate your staff to provide a better service for your dine-in customers. P.S: No standing beside customer to give pressure to them to quickly finish their food.

Improvement needed. The wonton and shrimp dumpling skin is too thick. The dry beef brisket noodle and dry shrimp dumpling noodle is literally dry - no sauce and very little taste. The 油菜 has a tiny dash of too-diluted oyster sauce that is so very tasteless. Overall much inferior to the one in HK.

Went to the Vivo branch on Friday (26/08) with my girlfriend. Not much to say about the food quality, all I can say is I have had better wanton noddles. However, I would like to point out the abhorrent service quality. Went in, sat down and was treated like sugar cane in a sugar cane press. Seems like the staff there are to squeeze every single cent out of you. The waitress was pushing the most expensive dishes. My girlfriend made an order for wanton noddle, but the waitress suggested the wanton & dumpling noddle, which was $2.50 more, we said OK. Then the waitress turned to me and ask if I ate beef, and I said yes. So she recommended the beef & Wanton noodle for $9, I said sure. Then it came to the drinks. The waitress again pushed the most expensive drink which I didn't want. I wanted to order a barley (hot), but the waitress said they have ran out of hot barley, only cold one left, which is cost 30 cents more. I said sure, since don't have hot. When the barley came, guess what? It was hot with ice in it. WOW! Congratulations on squeezing an extra 30 cents out of me. Will never patronize the store again. If it is possible to give zero stars out of 5, I would. Simply dishonest and disrespectful.

Everything was great except for the price and portion. The noodles are too little and to pay SGD14.80 for a bowl which is equivalent to MYR45 everyone I know said I have gone mad as for taste it is very similar to the one in 77 Wellington St in HKG.

Just tried the one at Westgate. The service was good and the staff were friendly. The noodles were a bit pricey but I still think worth it as they really like traditional Hong Kong style noodles. The only complaint I might have was the air conditioning wasn't cool enough as we were sitting way inside.

The quality overall is good however I the quantity that we have to order will need to be 5 x the portion in order to fill my stomach. As the noodles served is just a soup bowl size !!! N the price is $8++ ...Disappointed despite the food quality. #Chui

was at the outlet at vivocity...all i can say is this will be my first and last visit. over priced food without the quality.... u can get much better hongkong food just a few steps away. wasted a meal in my life.... wonder how come they can open a few outlets....

Taste is quite authentic to HK. Price probably high due to the rental. Portion too small for the price of $9 average. Might do better business with a bigger portion. Compared to LondonFatDuck next door business is exceptionally poor. Don't think it can survive another year with this volume of business.

Wanton is quite bad comparing to the the one I had in Hong Kong. So with that price. I will say it's totally not worth eating it.

Noodles and wanton taste good but portion is way too small. Almost just like a packet of instant noodles.

Patronised the branch at Westgate. Ordered a Zha Jiang Mian styled noodles. No doubt, the noodles taste good but not fantastic to rave over. Mind you, the noodle portion was so small it looked as if it was meant for a kid's appetite. Soup bowl was as tiny as your fist when clenched. Wanted to add extra noodles but was told it was "impossible" due to the management's sheer inability. Reason provided was the noodles come in a set meaning if you want extra noodles, you would have to order another bowl of noodles along with the extra ingredients and soup. A word of advice to the owner Mak Chi-Ming if you like to cut down on portions and stretch profit margins, very few will come back to patronise this outlet a second time unless vast improvements have been set out and made. I will not come back for sure no matter how nice the noodles are.

Just visited Westgate outlet today. The environment is really bad. Very stuffy, aircon not cold, imagine I visited during off peak hours. Food very ordinary & quite pricey. Most service stuff behaves weird. Overall experience is bad. I will not visit again. The worst makan place Westgate & Jem.
