Have been visiting this place since they open. Any non beef eater will fall in love with Jan Jan as they have the best selection of non beef meats for Yakiniku. Their Sake list is also fantastic.
Their side dishes are all top quality food, even their white rice~!
Pork lover’s must go place for yakiniku ~!

Tl;dr: value for money, but be careful what you wish for (or order for)!
Tried the 58++ (68++ on weekends) premium buffet. Only was informed about gyutan being sold out after selecting buffet, which lead to some hesitation, but we went on with this order anyway. Tried most of their selection on a whim and from hunger pangs, although that brought a wave of regret and forced eating through plates and plates of meat we would have otherwise not touched - portions are in fact, too generous! In the end, some gyutan options returned to the menu, but led to my disappointment as they lacked freshness and flavour. Apparently only the jo gyutan was of considerable quality but still unavailable.
Service is good, our waitress was very attentive and friendly. The space is bustling upstairs, and tables are cozy. Buffet menu has a wide variety which you need to be careful of if you have limited appetite - prioritise and order one portion at a time to prevent wastage ($10 per 100g - not strictly enforced but one needs to be aware of)
Restaurant can consider using less seasoning - becomes a hindrance later in the meal where flavours of the sauce overpowers otherwise tasty grilled meat.
Overall good experience but I won’t be eating meat for a while…. Good for corporate meals too, tabehoudai + nomihoudai 👍🏼 (all you can eat + all you can drink)

Very nice, high quality and genuine Japanese Yakiniku, recommend to have buffet coz order ala carts will be expensive if you want to eat a lot.

Update: price increased from 58 to 68… not worth going anymore….

Brings me back to eating out yakiniku in Japan. Service is good and items came fast. However, when the restaurant became busy, food service became noticeably slower. Recommend to visit early during weekday if going for all you can eat. Recommend the $58++ course. You can add $20++ for all you can drink, but you probably won’t have stomach space for food…

After coming to Jan Jan for a couple of times now, it has definitely evolved to be my go to place whenever my Korean bbq craving kicks in. They have the weekdays buffet wagyu $88++ or premium $58++, which I would recommend to go for premium will do (meat just as good). They offer a wide selection of salads, side dish, condiments, sauces, soups, etc. and of course the meat is of high quality. Personally would recommend their Jo Karubi (beef), shio tongue (beef), tontoro (pork jowl) and momo(chicken thigh). Normally I would go for just the expensive meat in a buffet, but just for this place, try their yasai tamago soup - just once and I’m sure you will be hooked as well. ;)

One of my favorite japanese bbq restaurants (probably one of the best in SG). A la carte is kinda expensive (2 people, $110+ no wagyu dishes and still feeling hungry) but the ingredients are fresh and flavorful. I would recommend the $58 buffet for the best value for money. Will come back for sure.

I thought the premium wagyu buffet was just alright. Cuts were small and thin. And only karubi was a little off. For $98++, I likely will not return. Soft drinks are on the high side here too.

First visit to this all-you-can-eat Yakiniku restaurant. Went for premium buffer which is 58++(68++ on weekends). We enjoyed Jo tongue the most we well as their spicy soup. Other meats are ok for the price. Washroom was kept very clean and tidy which was a plus.

The Japanese plain rice is so good I usually have 2 bowls. Especially when you put a freshly grilled piece of meat on top and let the juices seep in.

Booked this restaurant for our company party this coming weekend and the administrator in charge of the Facebook account is so helpful in helping us to get the best deal out of our budget!
