I keep coming back for the amazing, finger licking food that Bikanervala serves! Even on my trip, I was missing Indian food and this was the first place I ate at after coming back to Singapore. The Chinese Indian food is amazing, as well as the starters, and their North Indian is to die for!
Home away from home!
It is a nice place to get small bites throughout the day. It is relatively low cost and does not compromise on the quality of food. Waiting time is also quite less which is extremely positive. Ultimately, the food is savory and amazing. Another unique thing about this restaurant is that it has a mini-bazaar that you can buy traditional Indian snacks in (packets). There is also an appetizing sweet display that you can have some authentic sweets from. This place is a must-try!
Had a feast for lunch! My first time here and it was nothing but excellent. I had so much fun discovering the dishes and everything was so tasty! The pani puri was both sweet and spicy at the same time. The dahi bhalla was so fresh and a delightful way to start our meal. The chole bhature was done just right. The fried bread was light and crispy, the spicy lentils also very flavorful and perfect with the pickles and onions. We had some curries too.. and my fav was the lachha parantha, the North Indian flat bread. It was so tasty I could have it on its own.
The new management are definitely doing something right. 👍🏻
Amazing and authentic Indian taste, excellent service and v large portions easily summarizes our experience there.
We had brunch at this place as it was strongly recommended by some friends. We ordered Deluxe Thali, Chole Bhature, Tandoori platter and tea.
Chole Bhature come with 2 v large bhaturas, chole, onion and pickle. There is ongoing promotion so the dish came with complimentary Mango lassi which easily costs SGD 4-5 anywhere. This was enough for actually two people.
Deluxe thali is really deluxe and comes with Daal makhni, Shahi Paneer, Chole, Raita, papad, veg pulao, Lacha paratha, onion, pickles and a big piece of Qalakand. Again enough for 2 people.
Lastly Tandoori platter came with stuffed bhuna aloo, paneer tikka, Veg kebab and green chutney. Surprisingly it also had Daal makhni and Tandoori naan.
First thing first, taste is v authentic. You don't feel that same gravy is utilized in multiple dishes. Quality of naan and lacha paratha was good and well done. Dall makhni had right consistency, neither too watery nor too thick. Shahi paneer was v nice. Chole which came with Bhaturas reminded me of Bikanerwala outlet in Old Delhi- Chandni chowk.
For tea they have strong and mild masala tea. We went for mild one and it was perfect choice.
We had booked through Eatigo so got 40% discount and whole food costed us just SGD 37 which is a steal.
As an added bonus they have 50% promotion on Gajak and petha which we bought many packets. They also sell fresh paneer at reasonable prices.
Ambience is simple and clean. Service is quick and staff quite friendly.
We also got to chat with Mr Aggarwal who is the owner of the place. Very warm and welcoming person.
Overall this place is a must try with excellent food at very reasonable prices.
I have been craving Delhi-style chole bhature for a long time as we get only yellow chole in all the Indian restaurants in SG, but Bikanerwala ended my search. The taste is authentic, and the quantity was a little much for me as Bhaturas were pretty big. In one serving, there are two bhaturas rather than one as in other restaurants. We were served by Albert, and he did a great job being polite and smiley face. As it was our first time there, the only downside that I observed was the unavailability of most of the items on the menu. My husband is not a big fan of hole bhature, so he wanted to go for something else but whatever he asked was not available, so he had to settle with a Chinese platter which he liked. Overall, I would like to give five stars for taste but deduct one for the lesser menu.
Our first visit to Bikanervala for an afternoon snack. We were recommended the Raj Kachori and it was absolutely delectable. The piping hot samosas were delicious while the cold Kesar Pistachio Badam (Pistachio + saffron + cardamom) milk was perfect for a hot day. As for the sweets, I would say the Rasmalai is in my “die die must try” category. My family loves the snacks and sweets so much, we plan to come back to savour the mains.
We love Indian dessert. And this place is one of the best i tried. With wide variety of sweets. They stop serving kulfi though. But hopefully one day will be back. Staff are nice too. Cost is reasonable. ❤️🙏
Must visit to satisfy your Indian food cravings. Excellent bhaturas. Manager Albert is so friendly, had an awesome experience. Will come back for sure.
