Review Johor Bahru Pau / Tim Sum - Singapore

One of my father favourite bun shop! I love their char siew pau and tau sar pau!! Pretty generous filling with right bun thickness! Red bean paste was a little sweet but still love it~ their big pau was not bad but I’m not really a fan of big pau. They even have one huge pau with Nyonya rice dumpling in it 😂

Decided to try the food because the shop is always empty. Utterly disappointed & will never came back! 1. I'm the only customer that time but required to wait for 30mins. 2. The utensil on the table was so dirty & dusty. 3. Chee Cheong Fun came out with plastic in it. (Not sure if this is normal way to serve in JB) 4. Black bean sauce spare rib doesn't taste fresh at all.

The pau skin was a little too thick for my liking, but was otherwise alright. The lady at the counter was friendly and helpful.

You know, when the reviews give one star for service but don’t mention the taste of the food, it usually means the food is not the issue. I was pleasantly surprised by the generous filling to pastry ratio of the char siew bao, which was yummy, and while the Chinese female cashier was not overtly friendly, the fact that there is no queue makes it a quick fuss free transaction. The Da Bao looks really huge, probably enough for lunch if you are not too hungry. Will try that next time.

29/11/2021 at about 4.30pm bought some pau at changi village and was served by a chinese woman at the counter. When asked about types of the paus in my bags, she reluctantly replied unclearly. Her service is really bad( black face towards customers n very rude), I'll be one of them that will not go back to buy from her again. If you're managing this outlet, do take note.

This is one of the best paus I've ever had in Singapore. Not sure why the negative reviews but the cashier is friendly and nice and unlike the other reviews. I will travel all the way from Serangoon to buy this pau because it tastes so different from the typical Nam Kee, Ho Kee pau. Try their big pau, it really is the best!

Very bad experience. Walked past several times and it was always empty, decided to patronise them but the lady’s attitude is incredibly rude. Not just that, she got my order wrong and didn’t even apologise or explain, just left the food on my table. (I wanted lor mee but she heard wrongly as glutinous rice (糯米)). Terrible experience
