Review Bali Thai - Singapore

Trying Bali Thai after a long while on 15th Jul. Decent taste. Service was ok. But be sure to act fast if the server is cleaning your dishes. There's still half of the food in the plate and the server wanted to clear it away luckily we stopped him. Maybe he can asked if we still want it before trying to clear it.

Was hunting for an indonesian restaurant, like Sanur, I used to patronize years ago. Was surprised to find a chain that had a good mix of thai and indonesian favorites! The grilled fish and tahu telur were excellent, tasting exactly how i remembered them! The fried glass noodles, literally flew me to Thailand. The tom yum soup lacked punch, likely needing more acidity. The grilled chicken and cuttlefish, were ok, but would prefer a heavier taste. Service was great and the environment was 👍. Oh, tapioca with coconut cream dessert was a good finale to the meal, delectable.

Staff with superb service! Food has no MSG added👍👍! Good range of delicious food choices especially for weight watchers! Bali Thai never fail to impress me!

The quality and quantity of the dishes is absolutely good. There's free rice refills, the waiters/waitress were friendly. They would inform you if any dishes were sold out. I would suggest you to buy the Tahu Telor, as the dish was perfectly cooked. It's crispy on the outside, but soft on the inside. It's the best Tahu Telor that I've ever eaten. Another tip is, DO NOT go during dinner time as it will get very crowded. Try to make sure your schedule is available for the timing between Lunch and Dinner. That's all. Hope you enjoy the food!

First time dining at Bali Thai and it was a good experience. Ordered a wide variety and majority of them were really good! 🍛 Nasi Istemewa was pretty good. It has a subtle flavour of sambal chilli in the Fried rice, and has a strong Indonesian flavour. I rate 4/5 🌟 🍲 Seafood Tom Kha soup Pot has a rich aroma of coconut milk, but not thick to the extent you'll feel sick. Has 2 Prawns, 2 Mussels and a handful of white fish and squid. I rate 4/5 🌟 🍝 Pad Thai was a abit too dry for me, and lack of the charred thai wok flavour. I didnt appreciate that the prawns were diced. But the beancurd and raw beansprouts were aplenty. I rate 3/5 🌟 🍛 Nasi Goreng Petai, has a light aroma of Petai, but only 5 petai beans. Rice is fragrant and has a good amount of chicken cubes. A little oily for my preference. I rate 3/5 🌟 🐟 Ikan Assam Pedas was a hot favourite for my parents. It is tangy and lightly spicy, the asam was flavourful too. The fish was pretty big for $28. I rate 4/5 🌟 Serves complimentary water. Total bill came up to be $93.10

Food is nice except Cumin not grill to my expectation as Waterway Point Cumin. And the chinese woman server use a word 'Huh' and 'later' when I approach her to change the wrong drink been served. If not I'll give 5 star.

Ordered green and red curry, both use different spice and ingredients. The vegetables and tomyum was good

Nice ambience, comfortable seats, good food, definitely one of the top choices when dining with family at Causeway Point! Price point is slightly high, but it is expected when dining in a shopping mall. A nice mixture of Thai and Indonesian food, definitely one of the earliest players in the market. Quality of food is maintained, staff working were nice and professional. Can give it a shot if you happen to pass by and unsure of what to eat! :)

Not worth your money. We went to the Suntec City outlet. Ordered 6 other dishes and Olive rice to share and the waitress recommended us to 'upsize' our Olive rice to 'medium'. We were served such a huge portion of Olive Rice that it could easily feed more than 6 pax. Indeed, in the end we were charged for a 'large' Olive rice. Waitress claimed that there were only 2 sizes and that medium = large. Paid SGD 30 for that bowl of olive rice that we could barely finish. Really dishonest and unprofessional of her as it was for sure that had she recommended the dish as 'large', we would have ditched that idea and went with the original portion.

Went to the outlet in Suntec City Mall on 7 Jul 16. The place wasn't even half full yet my order took a very long time to be served. I didn't mind the waiting time, but when I was served the Prawn Tom Yum Goong, I was disgusted to find the prawns weren't cleaned or de-veined. The next dish didn't make things better. The Hotplate Beancurd didn't have one beancurd which was intact. It was all mashed up and tasted weird. Overall it was outrightly appalling considering I'm a regular customer at the Imm outlet (quality there isn't outstanding but I can bear with it).

Bali Thai - Westmall has the worse service level. This is 2nd time i have encounter. I have never seen a manager hogging on the mobile for a long while and do not know what is happening around him. The food send to us almost 1 hour later without the rice then wait another 15mins. Then when we wanted to cancel 2 more dishes the food came. We got upset and left the place. They even charge us full.

Visited Bali ThaiIMM last Sunday with my family. Loved the food we ordered. Excellent service staff. Compliments to Irene for welcoming us with her cheerful greetings and for taking care of our dining needs despite busy lunch hour.

Was at IMM Bali thai, Unprofessional and unethical service, took a long time for them the response though there weren't many people around. And we wanted glasses of water to be served, but the manager told us they only serve bottled water. Then after, I ask another staff for glasses of mineral water and they actually do serve them.

Best Tom Yum Seafood & Thai Ice Tea I've tasted so far compared to other Halal Thai food outlet. Just need to improve on the Green Curry Chicken, a bit sweet. Overall nice food & staffs well oriented at Waterway Point. Keep it up. :)

Extremely poor and Unprofessional Service delivery (Order Number: 2-18062016111403) I think we wasted the last 30 minutes talking to unprofessional and unfriendly staff at Bali Thai. I hope there is someone in your organization who is at least a bit customer focused. We placed online order Saturday evening and it reflected the delivery was complete at 8:51pm when the actual delivery came at 9:25pm, with all the food poorly packaged, boxes broken and the green curry +yellow curry + salad all mixed up inside the very thin plastic bag bursting in the seams. As soon as your delivery person handed it over the plastic bag gave away and all the mixed contents spilled in my living room and kitchen including the cabinet doors below the kitchen sink. Your delivery person reported to your restaurant at East coast and handed me the phone to talk to the "person in charge" who asked me what the problem was, after just hearing from your own staff! She kept arguing 3 times that the food was handed over properly to the "rider"and I should talk to him! With great difficulty I managed to get another person who said she was the "manager" but she said they have no power or control to do anything and we need to wait until next week to talk to the "marketing department" I am not sure why all these people are even in the food and service industry! (1) the order was late by 35 minutes although your website showed it was delivered at 8:51. (2) the food could not be consumed as it was all mixed up inside the plastic bag with green and yellow curry spilling everywhere. (3) the order was not even complete...you missed the rice orders although we were billed for it (4) it took nearly 30 minutes before the second person on the call said they apologize for the issue but again said they can't do anything until marketing department comes in. (5) what do I tell my family members who waited patently for the food and it is now 10:20 in the night. (6) your restaurant promised that we will get a call from "operations manager" in. a few minutes which did not happen so far. Very poor by any standards! I had great view of Bali Thai as I frequented the restaurant for many years with my office at Suntec tower four. This was very bad experience with zero ownership. Why are you in the food delivery business if you cannot package food properly or manage issues such as this one, rather than blaming the "rider" who delivered the content? He kept saying the package was bad and he did not understand why they put all the curries in a poor container right under all other food, all squeezed in to one thin plastic bag. No one ever bothered to apologize in the first 30 minutes. We can understand the delivery or packaging issues although it is unacceptable, however, we are still shocked with the way your organization handled this matter in a very unfriendly and unprofessional manner.

I think the quality and taste of the food is highly dependent on the chef. I absolutely love the food produced by the chefs in Bali Thai NEX but the one in Waterway Punggol left me disappointed.

Nomally food is ok ,but their home delivery service really bad. Had this experience twice we ordered food at 11.30 am and it was delivered after multiple followup around 2.30 pm. So if you have patience of 2-3 hours can order Bali Thai delivery.

This will be first and last time we ever step into Bali Thai restaurant at Katong I12 for a birthday celebration, it is against any rule that the staff and mgt trainee at Bali Thai insist that we produce a halal cert to store a birthday cake in their premise where they do not even display a legit halal cert in their own restaurant. The whole family step out of Bali Thai restaurant and they just want to spoil a happy occasion!

Slow and bad service attitude. Constantly Ignore customer's requests. Long waiting time for food to be served. Food is nice though.

Just ordered dinner delivery from Bali Thai last Sunday. Ordering was a breeze and the food arrived punctually within the stated time frame. Likely to order again during the lazy weekends!

Was in Resort World Sentosa for dinner tonight. Ordered two D27 Chendol. The lousiest Chendol I have ever had, the ice was not properly shave and was so hard. Not enough Coconut and Gula Melaka. 👎

The picture and the dishes they serve has a very huge difference

I went to Bali Thai outlet at Suntec on 25 Nov 2016 with my family. I had called the staff a few times to give my order and she signal me to wait. To my disgust, the table beside me who just get their seat and called her once maybe, and she went over to take their order and I have to wait such a long time. Basically she knew that I have been waiting for so long and who came in first. After she took our order, as expected, our order came much later that the beside table who came later. Even thought she told us that order will be ard 30min wait. The thing is the staff should know that we have waited much longer than the other table. First mistake she did not take my order first even thought I called her first. Second, she could have do damage control and gave my order first instead of the other table. Basically I get a very poor service and guess the other table got a good service. Well, this gonna be a first and last time I will come to Bali Thai.

Poor service Seletar Mall branch. Will not visit again.

I appreciate the vegetarian menu - but it wasn't indicated that the tomyum soup doesn't contain any tomyum spices at all. At $12.6 after GST and service charge, it's too expensive for a plain soup with veggies and tofu and carbs. I hope you can at least indicate that it isn't real tomyum soup. Now I've not gotten my cravings satisfied and also paid too much for a rather low cost item. :(
