It was not easy to find a good n tasty fried carrot cake nowadays.
Fortunately, this stall serve one of the traditional simple taste of this authentic flavours.
Owner old couple handle the pan frying black or white carrots cake, and their son handle the order n payment. This are a very nice, polite
Prefer white over black. Soft and tasty, old school style. I might recommend less chili so you can taste more of the carrot and radish. Prawn noodle and wanton noodle neighbours are good too.
When carrot cake is this good you want to chunk it down in big mouthfuls, wished they have proper cutlery instead of the tiny disposable fork.
There was a queue at 8am like others mentioned but they also clear the orders quickly. I got my food within 10 minutes.
I will definitely be back
Long queue even at 9am. Old school carrot cake reminds me of younger days. Owner was polite though long queue. You order first and then you can either step aside or go get othet food before coming bavk for your carrot cake.
Still prefer the white as more taste.
Pretty good fried carrot cake in this hawker centre. There are a few stalls selling fried carrot cake here but this is the only one I swear by.
Worth adding extra egg to get that additional oomph
Traditional style of Fried Carrot Cake.
Uncle and Auntie each cook one style of Black and White respectively.
Expect long queue even at 8am.
Personally prefer the White style more.
The person taking order is very rude. Popular doesn't mean need to show attitude. There are more popular ones in hougang
There's something special about this carrot cake - Al dente instead of soft melt on your mouth type. It has enough taste esp from the chye po that made you want to eat more till it's all gone and you wished you had more.
