Review Shun Ka Shuu Tou (four Seasons Of Japan) - Singapore

50% off their regular menu prices! Worth a visit if you like Dim Sum. Attentive service and there is a wide ranging menu to choose from. We topped off off with the red bean pancake. If you are looking for a lunch place to get together, it’s spacious and ample car parking too.

Dim sum was definitely above average in terms of quality, variety was good too (4 stars). However the price was quite expensive (2 stars). Service was quite fast and good (3.5 stars). The ambience was quite nice too (3.5 stars). May be back to try a new menu.

Went for their 1 for 1 ala carte lunch buffet on Sunday. The variety was quite good. We are a party of 4 and we ordered almost every item on the menu (did not take photo of every dish) and stuffed our faces. Most dishes are above average. Nothing particularly bad. Prawns and fish were fresh. At $79.90++ 1 for 1 and considering the variety of food we had, it was well worth it. Don't expect top quality food and you will be a happy camper. Would return when they updates their menu.

What started as a quest to create a culinary excellence in traditional Cantonese cuisine in Novena, Peach Garden has now expanded to several locations but now caters to mass market high volume catering, banquets and even dim sums. Food quality remains good but not as great as its roots as they shift their business strategy to offering 50% discounts on Eatigo or Dim Sums. So instead of culinary excellence, you get value. One item I missed is the Mocha Pork Ribs which is no longer on the menu.

Slow and inattentive service during Dinner. Went for their 1 for 1 promotion. Some worthy mentions are their Roast Pork and Wasabi Prawn Biggest complaints: HK style Beef over sweetened- literally tastes like a dessert. Herbal Prawn came to use cold, and their signature soups were fishy/bland/under seasoned. Generally not a great experience, but it was definitely cheap.

Heard a lot about this place - sort of legendary among old timers. So finally, decided to make a visit. First, the food here is really really good. But for me, it was a disappointment as I have my personal expectations of a famous Chinese restaurant. Service,to me, is of paramount importance - the classical Cantonese type: Refilling of tea pot. Announcing the dishes by name when serving. Placing dishes gently on table and not just dumping them down and turning away without eye contacts. My reference is the Peach Garden at Orchid Country Club and OCBC Centre. I wouldn't say they were rude but of the 20+ restaurants I visited last two months, this one sits at the bottom of the list. For a $58++ per pax lunch set (total $152.54 see photo) I expect a bit more. The full-house that day proved that I am just a minority - that everyone else were happy customers. So nothing needs to be changed. The dim-sum menu is pathetic (see photo)

Specially came here for the dim sum but was disappointed with the variety. Our eatigo discount of 50% also didn’t work because it only applies to the cooked food items. There was set menu and many people ordering the crabs, but we ordered the dim sum instead as we were only 2 people and did not want to over order. Dim sum was decent but some items like the xo carrot cake was very pricey so we did not order it.

Food was pretty good and the 50% eatigo discount made it all the more worth it. Place was somewhat understaffed for dinner, though it might be because it was the first day of the new year. Standout dishes: chicken soup, deep fried mushrooms with wasabi sauce (LOVE THIS!), venison meat, spring chicken. Fried rice was above average - good portions for sharing and not too oily. Forgettable dishes: sea cucumber, seasonable vegetable with crab meat. Bamboo clam was beneath my expectations - texture was like sotong and taste was a little one note. Beware though, they charge $1 for one packet of wet wipes. I thought it rather preposterous.
