fuss free XLB and noodles at your local coffeeshop. definitely value for money.
however if we’re talking strictly about the quality of the food, it can’t beat the XLB from dingtaifung or noodles from paradise dynasty - so manage your expectations!
overall a good place to go to if you’re near the area, and you want to quickly satisfy your cravings for some dumplings & noodles.

Good value for money, and pretty delicious! The XLB are really good, skin is not too thick nor thin, and very soupy. The 红油抄手 (that dish in chilli oil) is also tasty without being overwhelmingly spicy. Noodles are alright and affordable, though the meats inside are a tad salty. I'll definitely return for the dumplings!

Ordered the dry dumpling noodle.
I would prefer the noodles to be more al dente though it’s alright. Dumpling is also average
Overall find it avg can eat though not worth to purposely travel for it

Ordered XLB and Beef Ramen. Value is alright.
Noodles are on the "soggier" side, understandable for the older lunch crowd. Both the meat for XLB and Beef Ramen taste gamey.
If really want value for money XLB, should look at the the dim sum stall at ghim moh market.

Very good xiao long bao at a fraction of the price that you get at Crystal Jade or Din Tai Fung. I would give it a 5 star if the skin can be even thinner. The menu is very intensive, and if you dont feel like xiao long bao I highly recommend the noodle with minced meat sauce. It's highly addictive. Can be very crowded during lunch.

Horrible. No idea what was behind the hype. Soup was bland, beef was not flavored. XLB was underwhelming to the point i wouldn't waste calories. The chilli wanton was decent though but I've had better.
The best part of the dish, the chicken rice like chilli.

The food looked better than it tasted.. The skin was a tad thick and the filling was not packed tightly enough so it fell apart in the mouth. I also had the red chilli oil dumpling which were the same filling. The chilli oil lacked an oomph and was not really appealing.

Review on 18 April 2021:
It seems that the ownership of the stall has changed hand. La mian does not seems to be handmade - too even thickness and lack bouncy "q". XLB skin is too thick now. We are not coming back again.
Review from 2 years ago:
We came on a Sunday afternoon 1:30pm when it is not busy - no queue. We ate 2 dry dumpling ramen, 1 beef soup ramen and 1 basket of Xiao Long Bao. Texture of the noodle is good but portion is not consistent as my son's bowl is less than my daughter's. The dumplings are tasty with fresh pork and vegetable stuffing. The 5 beef slices are in reasonable portion, tender and decently braised. The XLBs are fresh but not too hot when served - the vinegar and ginger shaves make them heavenly; they are as good as the chef's previous workplace.
My son was still hungry and ordered the zha jiang ramen plus another basket of XLB. Overall, the price paid for the quality is very reasonable. Perhaps we will order extra noodle for my son in future visits.
