Review Hansul Korean Dining Bar - Singapore

Came here specifically for their cheesy menu items and I must say, despite not being the biggest cheese fan out there, it was pleasantly delicious without being too overwhelming. Enjoyed the omelet mixed with the tomato sauce the most out of the three dishes that we tried. Downside is that place is a bit small though and you may need reservation during busy periods. Price is also more on the higher end but that's expected. There are also a lot of different items on the menu aside from the cheese food. Ie army stew, grill etc. Place also offers free flow barley tea, which earned extra points for me. But if you like drinking there's alcohol as well.

Alternative luxurious Korean BBQ experience that allows you to grill skewers of food without any (and I mean it) smoke getting to your clothes or whatsoever. We were presented with a pipping hot bowl of seaweed soup to start things off. Love that they have a range of maccallan whisky right up to 18yrs. Also ordered interesting dishes like kimchi tofu au gratin and potato pancake with egg dish. Ordering the BBQ will require you to order at least 5 skewers ($6 on the average) and I would recommend the beef ribs with enoki mushrooms, pork belly with oyster mushroom. Service is wonderful, and ambience is great for after work chats and drinks.

Enjoyed happy hour(by 7:00pm) promo(1 for 1). I tried Kimchi soup and Pajeon. They both tasted really nice and authentic. Food here is even better than what I can try in Korea.

I would not recommend this place to anybody.I first stepped in to the restaurant and the service staff was not welcoming at all. I wasn't given any instructions that i am suppose to cook myself for some of the things i ordered. Normally, at most of the korean cuisine restaurants, If i had to cook myself , service staff would mention that, at least or they would be the one cooking for you. BUT NO, this restaurant doesn't give new comer any introductions at all. Moreover, the bbq tray was placed right at the corner of the table because the suction is at the corner. Its extremely inconvenient to cook yourselves. Oh i also forgot to mention the restaurant lighting was dim as hell. How am i suppose to cook? Well, obviously it wasn't a pleasant experience for me nor my siblings. We moved the bbq tray to the middle of the table so its easier to cook by ourselves, yet the service staff appeared and told us we would be causing the smoke to pollute the restaurant. We told him our issues and we really didn't know we had to cook ourselves and the fact that the design was extremely inconvenient. We also gave him a feed back to tell his colleague to talk their future customer through when they order the "self cooking bbq." LOL . The weird thing is he keep wanting to argue that we were at fault for putting the tray in the middle. SRSLY? i had to repeat twice my problems for him to nod and go. i mean he could have just apologize instead of defending. Its not like we didn't put the tray back to the stupid suction corner. BTW, that was the only time the service staff was seen other than serving our food. Its actually hard for them to see us if we needed anything at all.The TWO staffs would just stand at the kitchen table. Waiting for order? i dk, whatever the case is you can raise ur hand to call them all day and they probably can't see u too. LMAO. Last but not least, i was being charged TWICE. I'm sure i was only given one receipt that day. I checked my bank transaction and realized that i was charged with another $43.55. and also the receipt bill i have $145.55. ARE YOU FOR REAL??? Did you just use my visa and paid someone else's bill? Now i have to trouble myself to call the bank and call the restaurant. Well, i lost the receipt im not even sure if i can get my $43.55 back. I'm just taken aback how the experience was. Honestly, the food is alright but not the best. The ambiance is kinda cool tbh but the service staff omg cmi. And i suggest not to pick the bbq ones that you have to cook yourselves, especially a table of more than 2, because the tiny tray would be at the corner of one table. trust me its awkward unless you bring a maid to do the cooking at the corner while the rest just enjoy(they cant reach to cook anyways).

Very pricey Korean restaurant. Though the food is good. Probably will think twice before stepping back in this place

Chic set up. Blues music video sets the atmosphere instead of the typical Korean k pop music which ups the chic-ness. Beef and pork cheek BBQ was tender and yummy. Side dishes were limited and average. Cheesy fried chicken was good. Generally a great experience. Slightly on the pricey side but I guess I was paying for the ambience and service.

Cool selection of Korean drinks, also amazing chicken. Highly recommend the soy and spicy boneless chickens. The glass noodles were also solid.
