Mr bean is a cafe of memories...a place that I used to frequent in secondary school days. Am glad It is still around after so long, is hard to find a place like this in Singapore anymore. Seafood soup is always the best and must have! Food changed from the past and am glad that it is still very nice eg the ribs. Services improved so much that the staffs are really nice and with smile, best part is they are very happy to receive feedbacks! A cozy place to hang out when it is opened 24 hours.

The hokkien mee $8 is quite delicious. Would recommend. Only comment is the sotong not fresh. But I still give it 5 stars.

Its our first time trying out the food in The Old Straits Cafe. We ordered 2 fish and chips, 1 satay combo and 1 chicken chop etc. When the food were been served, it looks good. After eating, we are even more amazed by the taste of the food. The fish and chips are so crispy and juicy and surprising the crispyness of the fish can even last for more than 2 hours. This is something which I don't find in other restaurant serving fish and chips especially the one in Hangar 66 which is supposed to be popoular for the fish and chips. The crispyness of the fish and chips in Hangar 66 cannot even maintained the same standard for half an hour. But for The Old Straits cafe is a different story. Their fish and chips are super super excellent. Crispy and juicy, with a very good sharing portion. The satay sauce it serve is so super delicious and the satay is flavourful and juicy and tender. Just different from the other bistro restaurant or cafe that serve the same dish. Even the chicken chop is so well marinated and just the first bite you can taste the well marinated chicken meat that is so full of tenderness. And the french fries on the main courses serve is also very crispy. Most importantly, the prices for the main courses are so reasonable. Overall rating, excellent food, family cosy ambience, nice and friendly staff, very reasonable price. Thumbs up for the Old Straits Cafe.πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘ We will certainly recomend this cafe to friends and go to the Old Straits Cafe again.

Came here to celebrate friend's birthday. The main reason is that the beer is cheap here: 1 tower for $28, 2 for $50 and 3 for $88. Basically they will still calculate the best promo price in the final bill as we order more towers, so no stress to order more and afraid we cannot finish. The food are reasonably priced, taste quite good and portion is large too.
