We love it here though it's a little far away from where we stay. But this little quaint icecream cafe tucked in a quiet neighbourhood is a gem. Our kids love to play at the playground right in front of the cafe. It's a great place to hang out for some quality family time sharing yummy ice-cream. We love the chocolate and hazelnut flavours with waffles. The 2 elderly aunties running the cafe made it all the more cozy and welcoming.

Another neighbourhood cafe/ice cream parlour. Their hazelnut and avocado flavours are delicious. They will be moving by end of the month as the area has been enbloc and will be torn down soon. The flavours that are not available over the counter can be found in the fridge. Good homely place to hang out.

Interesting place, cosy and clean place!! Very like the ice cream and has many variety alto thry ran out of cone today.. salted egg ice cream wasn't what was expected ie sweet? But hazel nut was good and my colleague's took the chocolate.. free water help your self type and enough seats for group of 6 to 8.. inside even more.. enjoy.

I came here out of my way due to very positive online reviews. Let me tell you it was so worth it! The ice cream is super smooth and full of flavor. You can choose between 10ish flavors. One big scoop is $5, every additional one $2. They have coffee and waffles as well. They are conveniently open until after dinner. The seating area is comfy and they offer free water. Two friendly old ladies were serving. Outside this place is a quiet and green community area just by the river. Will definitely come back!

Service is good and they are really efficient at taking orders now after the mistake they made before. Things have changed now.

My go-to gelato place in Singapore. Pistachio flavour never fails me. The branch at Macpherson is staffed by two cute elderly ladies, who were enthusiastic in serving the customers. Thumbs up to them and to the Alfero Artisan team for hiring these great ladies despite their age (unlike other ice cream places which typically hire the younger ones). �

Came here twice. To be fair, the gelato is nice but the customer service is a real thumb down for both occasions.
The shop is tend by two old ladies where one of them (the one who a mole of her top left eye) is super impatient. She keeps chasing to take order without giving us time to look what are the flavors available. Do mind the shop is almost empty at that time with no one queuing behind me. What makes matter worse is she keeps chasing you to order BUT DONT LISTEN to your order. I had wanted to order a 2-flavor scoop cup (bacio + blueberry) but she gave me one scoop blueberry cup and one scoop bacio cup. When I pointed out her mistake, she insisted I didn't said it earlier. In order not to argue further, I just took whatever was given.
The attitude and the way of doing business by this old lady is really unacceptable for me (I did give them a chance by visiting 2nd time). Don't think I will ever patronize this shop again which is a waste cos the gelato is real nice.

Very very nice waffle and ice cream! We love the dark chocolate ice cream (v nice n strong chocolate) and Rum and raisin ice cream (strong taste of rum), waffle is crispy - v nice and yummy combination.
Definitely a hidden treasure. Must come.

My husband and I love to go down to your shop to enjoy the yummy waffle and ice cream. The waffle is soft and delicious; the durian, dark chocolate, lychee ice-cream is super nice. Each time when we are there, there will be new added flavors, giving us lot of opportunities to try the different ice creams.
In addition to it, you have a great staff (an elderly lady) who is always so friendly and patient with her customers. It makes us feel like we are at home when we are there. Two thumbs up for this nice lady.

Amazing pistachio Gelato full of fresh pistachio flavour yet creamy and smooth!!! I can't wait to try their other flavours! Bacio flavour (hazelnut and chocolate) was so nutty I could have mistaken it for a hazelnut sandwich spread! Not too sweet either!

I used to love coming to Alfero at MacPherson Lane ever since an ex-colleague introduced it to me over 5 years ago. The old lady that was working there was friendly and never failed to give good customer service. Then some younger people were hired. They weren't so great. Now some other older ladies were hired.
I had a terrible experience with one of these "newer" older ladies. I arrived with 2 of my friends at 8:30 pm, but there were a few people crowding at the counter, so we took a seat first. Once the crowd cleared, we ordered ours. We noted that the closing time was 9 pm, so we figured we'd get ours in a cup so when they were closing, we can just leave with our gelato, regardless if we were done or otherwise.
I ordered a single scoop in a cup, but before this old lady was done with it, I changed my mind and asked for a double scoop. She replied, "Haiyah I make already!", and wanted to pass the cup over to me. I was aghast. I looked at her, and she still gestured for me to take the cup.
I said, "Is this the way you treat your customers??? Is this what you call customer service??? Okay, fine, I'm reporting you to your boss!" This was when she suddenly said, "Ok ok, give me." I replied, "Nevermind, it's fine! I'm going to report you to your boss." I told her I'd bumped into Marco several times over the years and we'd chatted before (I'm sure Marco doesn't remember me, but I was just pointing out to her that her boss is sometimes around when customers drop by), and I didn't think he'd agree with her actions.
It was nearly 9 pm, closing time, but all I asked was for a slight change in order. If the lady did not want to entertain anymore customers, she could have just called last order at 8:45 pm. Being rude is not acceptable.

terrible. staff used the same scoop for durian to scoop salted caramel. imagine my horror when my mouth tasted Durian. No apology except rudeness. Maybe the bitter service and durian flavour are complimentary if your order is a mere $4.50 item. Oh well...
