Half price waffles on Tuesday. The waffle is light & crispy. Very strange that orders must be taken through ipad. A tip for all: choose the option of putting the maple syrup by the side instead of on the waffle. Doesn't affect the crispness of the waffle that way.

Waffle and ice cream are average at best. Chocolate sauce tastes weird. Probably would not eat here if it wasn't discounted.

Gelare has been around for quite a while. If you have not tried their waffles and ice cream, I do recommend you do.
They do serve food also, but I am vegan and don’t really fancy their food much.
Tuesday value for money half price waffles! It is highly recommended to add ice cream, whip cream and chocolate sauce...woot!
As for choice of ice cream, I always make sure it is two scoops of Chocolate Overload (simply awesome if you love chocolate) to go along with my waffles!
My way to cap off weekends after having a good dinner.

O... I like using FavePay to purchase as I got cash rebate :). Food taste ok. It is at basement which is right beside Giant supermarket when kids can stay at a corner to play electronic games.
Having refillable tea while waiting for children to finish playing their games. Nice ambience.
The waffle is nice but over price. The beef lasagna is ok cost about $15. The tea shows is about $5.

Very lousy and slow service and ordering system sucks. I'm currently waiting for my waffles right now and it's been more than 30mins after making payment. Worst gelare ive ever been to. Such a shame that a place with a nice view has terrible service.
Just got my waffles while typing this (37mins wait time). They don't even give you the cutlery when they serve your waffles, so you got to go to the counter to ask for it. What? We don't deserve to be served with cutlery after paying for food?

Poor service of staffs.
1)Ordering app not user friendly at all, patrons have to spend time figuring out the app.
2)We waited 30min for a scoop of ice cream which was really unacceptable, when we asked the staff about the status and she simply answered that there is a long queue of orders and we have to wait. This is so inflexible and unproductive ! What made things worse was that the staff came to tell us that they have run out of the flavour we ordered after we have waited for 30min.
3) A couple sat down next to our table and approached the staffs on how to use the app and the staff simply told them that:"We are closed for the day " without say the word "sorry" . Is this the kind of service attitude a service staff should protray?
I will never step into any Gelare outlet again!

A system that doesnt work. So when you successfully placed in an order online, the order doesnt really get into their restaurant system and ended up you need to wait at least half an hr or more just for a waffle ice cream when usually a typical waffle just need 10mins to make. So if you dont bring the receipt to the counter and ask, probably you have to continue to wait forever. LOL. Food not exactly that awesome for that wait, so... this place should shut down immediately

Service is horrible even on Sunday late afternoon where it is non peak period. The cafe is operated by teenagers who have no clue about serving customers. I had to remind the waiters 3 times to clear the leftover plates and food on my table which was from previous diners. Ice cream selection is limited, you only get to choose from 3 ice cream flavours, the rest have already melted and inedible. I would avoid at all costs!
