Nam Hwa Chiang Fish Head Steamboat - Singapore - Photo album

Very normal fish steamboat. I need to say it not my favourite menu but my local friend recommended. She had it before at their sister restaurant, but also mentioned used to be nicer. Their original steamboat don’t come with fried yam. You need to order separately. Anyhow, seems like quite popular.
We only tried the fish head steamboat and nothing else on the menu. The fish head steamboat was delicious and reasonably priced for the snapper fish steamboat. The fish pieces were huge and also very very fresh. Loved the fried yam pieces in the soup and overall the soup was very tasty and not to
2 of us ordered a small portion of fish steam steamboat and 3 sides. I love the taste of the soup and ordered extra veggies to be added in during the course of meal. The potato leaves quite normal, maybe better if can be more spicy..
It was very crowded, but the host managed to arrange the seats pretty fast. Order taking was fast too. A very well organised way of working. Staff was also very friendly. Very nice food. Been here a lot of times. Braised pork intestines and the soup are must-order. We also requested for more ice a
3 of us hence we ordered small size pomfret steamboat. Price is slightly higher as compared to other places, but we noticed we got more fish meat. The broth is much savory. The sweet potatoe leaves too salty
Nice place to gather for a meal with friends. Price is reasonable and the steamboat soup was full favour. The meat of the fish is fresh and ingredients are plentiful. The prawn paste chicken is a bit on the dry side but it’s flavourful. The egg dish and sambal spinach is very good - must try. Unless
Nice local cze char and steamboat with different fish. Soup is refillable and whilst it is tasty, there is a hint of MSG in it. Fried Hokkien noodles average as I have tried better ones. Price is on the higher side. There is indoor aircon seating.
Came for Fishhead Steamboat on a rainy day. Overall food was good but the fishhead broth was not as “gao” as expected. Apparently the lady boss tell us the usual chef was not around today so maybe the broth was not prepared like usual. The pork intestine was very good though without any smell.
