Ordered the Christmas set, har cheong kai nasi lemak and chicken rendang rice set. Everything was made to perfection. The har cheong chicken was marinated at a right balance. Chicken was tender and juicy. The blue pea rice was fragrant and still warm when it arrived. The rendang chicken was so well flavoured and melts in your mouth. I enjoyed every single item that was ordered..even the pastries in the set was a pleasant surprise! Definitely worth a try !

the har cheong kai chicken is so fragrant and soft! The curry veggies are a nice addition too. I find the rice okay and wish there was more sambal sauce.

At first glance, at $6.90, this is Crave Nasi Lemak pricing. Other than the price, the offerings are interesting (Prawn Paste Chicken, Rendang chicken) and chicken is both tender and moist. Would totally come back and try other flavours.

The best nasi lemak that I had in Sg! So much flavour from the rice and rendang chicken. One mouthful of rice, sambal and rendang chicken will gives you satisfaction and pleasure to your mind. Not forgetting the sambal that taste sweet, tangy and spicy, quite similar to Malay sambal.. So touched that I can find Malay style sambal here. And, blue nasi lemak quite less seen in Sg which make it a plus selling point. Ok, this nasi lemak approved by Malaysian 👌🏻

So in love with their blue nasi lemak with Nyonya sambal chicken! Super soft and tender chicken with flavourful gravy! 👍🏻 their har cheong chicken chop was crispy and well marinated as well!

i knew the owner from eating occasionally at his shop. it was originally "jia xiang nasi lemak" but rebranded recently as "simple.简".
their food is good and filling for a regular lunch. you might even have food coma after it.
just nice I was going to hold my baby full month and I decided to go with simple as my caterer.
usually for caterers there are only a few dishes that are a "hit" but for simple all my guests commented that it's really good for all the dishes. i helped to give out all the name cards and I ran out of them.
my initial worry that the food would get cold easily was for naught. the dishes were still warm after 3 hours. really damn sold and everyone was happy eating.
p.s my 10litres of butterfly pea drink was gone in an hour

Awesome hole in the wall place with a very satisfying and fulfilling meal! Well worth trying! Great value for money - $6.50 per meal! Perfect for a lunch take out! Dining there could be really tight and may walk out smelling of deep fried chicken.
Signature ingredient in most of their dishes are of the blue butterfly pea flower, natural food color for the rice dishes and drinks.
Simple meals of a decent sized protein with egg and little condiments, depending on the dish, served over a bed of blue butterfly pea rice. Or opt for the naked version if you want to replace the carbs for veggies.
Har cheong chicken is flavorful and deep fried to perfection! The rendang chicken also bloody good in flavor and tenderness! My colleague ordered the fried fish nasi lemak and was equally impressed!

The butterfly pea flower nasi lemak is quite tasty. Something different from normal nasi lemak. I had laksa chicken drumstick with the nasi lemak, which is delicious. The only thing I think a bit off is the chilli, too oily and don't have enough 'punch'. Long queue during lunch time so it is better to be here around 11.30am to beat the crowd.
