Well known chicken rice stall over at this Chinatown market and food centre. Have walked past here quite often when i am here. Stall was constantly having long queue which also discourage me from queueing. Understand they were closed for quite a long period before it reopens with new people taking over the stall. Over here, they only served the white chicken and they use styrofoam plates back then. Happened to walk past here again and noticed the queue wasn't that long as before and decided to give it a try.
Went for the smallest portion which was SGD$3.50. Apart from that they quite a few items available for add-on. Rice was fragrant and the rice wasn’t oily. Besides that, the rice was fluffy and had a nice texture. However, it was lacking in taste and could do with a bit more of seasoning. Opted for the breast meat and was surprised that it was moist and tender.
Overall, I really think it was an above average chicken rice. I would definitely be back.

maybe one of the more understated chicken rice stall around, simple and no frills; boiled chicken, spare parts, cucumber slices and rice only. new crew took over, maybe family members as taste similar as previous. condiments provided similar. stall opening timing changed, no longer opens at 230pm. now available from 1130am, closed on Monday.

They are finally reopen after many months of closure… Had it last year April, rice like taste abit different now but overall still nice… Rem to go w the sauce, chilli+black+ginger woohoo!! :D

A truly nostalgic kind of chicken rice, worth queuing for. However, and sadly, openings are on and off, but really hope in the future, their openings can be more consistent. Although the portion is a bit small, but the taste is really worthwhile.

Dropped by in the evening to pick up a package and stumbled upon this nondescript stall with a queue (when the crowd was thin and most stalls were already closed or closing). Since I had been craving for good chicken rice (plus, was recently let down by a certain famous stall at Maxwell), I decided to see what the buzz was about. As many of the reviews claimed, it's definitely praiseworthy stuff - tender, moist chicken meat coupled with tasty, saucy rice and good chilli. Though it's not going to topple my top 3 favs, it's certainly up there with the top 5s. 😋

Honestly, I’m not a fan of chicken rice but this is the only chicken rice I eat, fragrant rice and superb chilli. Old owner has retired but still as good. Only downside is the queue but worth it overall.

Have been visiting this chicken rice stall for more than 15 years. It is one of the quiet establishments in Chinatown that the real locals know about which is not packed with curious tourists and influencers.
The stall always has a long queue (of their regulars) and for years they have managed to maintain their prices affordable for their long time customers.
The white chicken is succulent and smooth and you will not be able to stop at just a few pieces, you need to get at least half a chicken! The rice is fragrant and I would dare say much better by a mile compared to their competitors. I always love their ginger sauce and their chicken soy sauce.
