Old Lai Huat Seafood Restaurant - Singapore - Photo album

6 adults 3 kids cost as close to $190. We ordered sambal pomfret fish, baby squid, salad youtiao, crispy tofu, sweet potato leaves, mee goreng, sweet and sour pork , a pot of Chinese tea, 2 beers. What I like about this place is the old school , heritage restaurant. Pay now is accepted here besides
Found this place after many years! But I must admit that I was a little disappointed. The fried balacan fish was still very good. Crispy & flavourful. Just don't look at the oil :p. Crispy baby squid was the best dish of the night. Black pepper crayfish was 😔. It's dry & quite tasteless. Deep fried
Old school zhi char restaurant located at Rangoon Road. Have patronised the bak kut teh restaurants around the area but somehow missed this restaurant until now. They have been here for the longest time! They have quite a long menu with the standard type of dishes you can find in other similar zhi
Ordered a sambal fish for dinner. Fish was fried nicely and very cripsy, even some bones can be eaten. They laid the fish with a thick layer of sambal which can be a bit less salty. But those who like strong flavours should not be an issue. Service can be improved a little as well.
Used to go to their ol shop at the corner of the traffic light before their move to the current location. The place serves ol school tze char especially the sambal fish. Of coz ot taste much better when serve hot at the shop, ordered home not really as good but cant complain as it still very tasty
Really love their sambal belachan fish. Spicy without being too hot. Sotong and cripy tofu are really great too. One of the best zhi car in town that focuses on seafood.. Great service too with air con dining area and high ceilings..
Old style tze char. Taste that I have not had for many many years. If you looking for food and taste from yesteryears, you may just find it here. Service is haphazard. The dishes came out in illogical order. Probably due to mass cooking of certain popular dishes.
Went there for lunch with my son. We don't usually come to this branch. I know of at least 2 others. The food was good, and the deep-fried sambal pomfret is one of the family's favourites! I still think yeh food's great, but of I didn't give them 5 stars, it's because they seem to have gotten pricie
