Food was mediocre. Service was friendly. The setting is the selling point of this joint.

Choc Affair (cake) is nice, House Breakfast okay, Crabby Omelette horrible. Checked with the waiting staff whether the omelette is for one pax and he said yea. When the omelette is served, i was shocked at the size so I enquired with the waiter how many eggs are there in this omelette. He went to check with the manager and he laughed as he told me 7 eggs. I was pretty taken aback about the 7 eggs as well as the waiter's expression. I guess he must have been laughing at me for being taken in by the nice photo of the omelette on the menu. Had half of the omelette and felt like puking. So basically, $25 for 7 eggs with some raw sprouts sprinkled on top. Nothing crabby with this dish. No greens served like other brunch elsewhere. Just 7 eggs nicely presented and served in a huge pan. Well, that's the power of marketing! First as well as last time for me. They could have pointed out in the menu that there are 7 eggs inside this dish because 7 eggs is still a bit too extreme.

I simply love the buffet high tea! I like the taste of the beef with their special sauce combined with the freshly grinded salt and pepper plus the truffle mushrooms, I like the mini burger so much, oh and I love the refreshing lemonade with basil, i like the Muah Muah tea as well, I like the sweets especially the banana mini cake which looks like a pot of plant, i like the scones and cream, I like everything on the high tea food list!! Service is pretty good too as there's 2 waiters who keep checking on us and attending to our needs ☺️.. Value for the money!

Ordered pumpkin hazelnut fries, squid ink seafood pasta and black pepper prawn linguine. Being a regular, previous experiences were tops, however, this time was terrible. the squid ink pizza was a total disappointment. First, it wasn't even warm when served and the tomatoes used have obviously gone bad. (Seriously doubt they turned the oven on, but server insisted they did.) The black pepper prawn also had toppings of tomatoes that had already gone bad, n the prawn was tasteless. The server tried to explain that the tomatoes were marinated in lemon juice hence that was why it tasted that way. SERIOUSLY?!? V Bad experience.

We went to Dempsey House today for the very first time and most likely for the last time. Service was fine, but like mentioned in other reviews, we also could not enjoy a meal together, as pretty much every dish arrived at a different time. One dish (the brioche french toast), was most likely to be completely forgotten. After asking several times for the remaining dishes, that particular dish, did only make out of the kitchen, by the time we've already finished brunch. Not to mention, that was one of the dishes, we've ordered for one of our kids. It seems to me, the kitchen is poorly organized. It's a real shame, since the food is actually pretty good.

All style no substance. This is what happens when you open a stylish restaurant without a chef properly trained with the basics. I recommend you learn how to properly cook benedict eggs and how to make a proper hollandaise. Also mixing ultra sour fruits like passion fruit on sweet pancakes, not the best idea. Place is nice and service was good.

Absolutely great service and good food! I love it when I enter a restaurant and almost everyone greets you with a ready smile and a specific waitress is on standby to your needs till the end. What impresses me is the quality of food at House because it is western but with Indian delight (mainly because we want to try special dishes). And boy, the dishes are so unique and we love it!!! The beef steak was tender and juicy and the pizza uniquely delightful - reminded me of murtabak but with a thin crust with generous doses of ingredients.

Prompt service, good ambience, and great food! I had the blacked snapper and it was just divine! I would definitely come back for more!

We had a great brunch on Christmas Day. The staff was eager to please though I can tell they were fairly stretched given the crowd that afternoon.

Standard dropped since the last time I was there. Truffles fries were blend and slightly soggy. Mushroom risotto were too dry. And there kids were screaming and running about.

We both had high tea last Thursday 31st and was fantastic! Turned up without a reservation but the guy on the door made us feel really welcome on a table outside. It was raining slightly but didn't matter because the service from all the staff we encountered was first class and the food was worth the walk from the Botanical Gardens. Thankyou House!

Great food! Though rather pricy! Love the server by the name of Joey! Very cheery and humorous!

We had a group dinner (about 20 people) last night and the service was less than satisfactory. I recommended the restaurant to the organizers because my past dining experience was always good (always for 2 people). However, last night we were given a table that we had pillars blocking each other, we can not see each other. And then the food came in quite late and a lot of dishes in the menu were not available. Upside, the staff was polite and trying to manage the inadequacies. I think they need to ready themselves for big groups given that it is now the festive season.

Ordered the bacon and egg naan, which came out cold, stale and tasting of filth. Mediocre and tepid coffee. Below average service. Shithouse.

Went there on a Saturday afternoon for lunch. It would my first and last time! Why? - bad customer service - waited very long for our food - when our food finally arrived, it was cold as if it was left there for quite a while. - servers are very rude, knocked onto our table without even apologizing - prices are expensive for this kinda of service and food! - DO NOT GO THERE!!

We had pre booked for a table of 13 for brunch. From the first meal being served to the last took 1.5 hours so no one ate at the same time. 2 dishes had to be sent back as they were overcooked/stone cold/inedible and 2 dishes didn't appear at all. For a venue that advertises itself as a Sunday brunch destination they were woefully inadequate in all aspects.
