Review Good Chance Popiah - Singapore

Spacious restaurant makes dining comfortable. The food was yummy. Wrapping the popiah was so much fun. Be warned to drain the gravy from the turnips so that the popiah skin will not tear. Kampong chicken is very tender and the soup was yum yum. The oyster eggs I had not eaten before. Something new and refreshing. No starch!

The food is of good quality and unique from typical tze char but slightly pricier as well. Medium portion was just nice for a family of 6 if you are average eaters. The oyster bombmelette was great!! 😍😍

This is my childhood days favorite popiah restaurant in the 70s. It has gone through a number of expansion/consolidation and now there are two main shops in town. I went to their relatively new store at jalan Berseh, they still whip up my favorite traditional taste and the right condiments to make the best popiah. Highly recommended Hokkien restaurant in town. If you love popiah, you have to try it here.

Make your own Popiah! Yes, they serve you all the ingredients & you make them yourself. Very tasty & filling. Many Hokkien side-order dishes available including stir-fried noodles, beehoon, ngo-hiang, stewed pork, pan-cakes, etc.

Nothing like what we had in the past. The standard dropped a lot! Good chance will not get any chance from us again. This is definitely a lousy bet. All the signatures dishes are salty. The food ingredients are of low quality. One of the fried noodles even came cold. Only the po bian is decent. Even at dinner time, the tables are not filled. The food left a bad taste. Very very disappointed. Good chance is hard to come by, I can only wish them Good Luck in their future endeavors.

Have been going to this restaurant since I was a kid. The DIY Popiah here is still superb. It is pricey especially just for Popiah but it is worth the occasional treat. The ingredients are flavourful and real. U don't taste fake sugar flavours here. Fried hokkien mee is super good too. Delicious wok Hei smokey flavour. Love the prawn rolls too. It's a place good on hokkien dishes but on the expensive side. Service staff are very attentive.

Great food with good price. Love the Kong Ba bun too. Authentic Hokkien taste, as good as mum's cooking.

Excellent popiah! Other dishes are very impressive too! Best of all, there is NO GST, and NO Service Charge. Reservations are recommended during peak times.
