Review Windowsill Pies - Singapore

Eating in was unavailable, so had to take away. Had pumpkin bourbon, banana cognac, and pecan pie. Pumpkin was extremely disappointing and DID NOT taste like pumpkin at all, it also had a sour aftertaste. Banana cognac was much better, it was overall very light and delicate. Pecan pie was delicious, but a bit on the sweeter side. Would come back for the pecan and banana pie.

They have an interesting selection of pies. My favourite was surprising the Banana cream with almond brittle, which was sweet, light and savoury at the same time. Looking forward to try more flavours.

Located along the touristy haji lane. They have quite a number of pie flavours: pumpkin bourbon, pecan, chocolate mint, etc. Tried the s'mores and vodka lime pie. Both flavours were good but I find the s'mores a little too sweet. Coffee was okay. There are outdoor seating at the shop front, bar seats near the cashier and third floor cosy indoor seating. They provide drinking water as well. Prices are slightly high.

Windowsill pies has been around for quite a long while. I first had these pies way back in 2013 when it was still at Lavender. The current store at Haji Lane is really small. Had the Smore’s and Grasshopper. The pies look really good but it was a little too cloyingly sweet. The pies were flaky but I would rather these were tarts with a firmer and more buttery base. Service was slow. There was only one lady manning the shop who had to handle everything.

The place is quite empty when I visited. Ordered Grasshopper and Honey Macadamia pies with Chope voucher. If you prefer sweet things, Grasshopper would not be recommended because it contains semi-sweet dark chocolate whip. Overall, the pies are tasty on a different level from other pies I have tried. :)

Great selection of pies. One of the best pie shops in town! Favourite is definitely the Banana Cognac Pie! Will be back again :)

Great Pies to start with. They are tucked away in a cozy corner in Haji Lane and worth the visit. Got two varieties 1. Grasshopper (Semi-sweet Dark Chocolate Whip, Flourless Dark Chocolate Cakes, Peppermint Whipped Cream, Salted Chocolate Cookie clusters) and 2. Banana Cognac (Fluffy Banana Mousse with crunchy Almond Brittle and topped with rich Cognac whipped cream). And the grasshopper needs a special mention as I was in love with the taste, specially the mint aftermath that it leaves in your mouth. Need to try the other flavours the next time. Definitely recommended.

Perhaps I’m more of a cake person than a pie person... I didn’t find the pies outstanding. I tried the pumpkin pecan pie which, in my opinion, was too sweet. I prefer my pies to have more crust, and most of the pies on display have very thin crusts (comprising mostly of just the filling). I regretted spending $7 on a small slice of mediocre pie, as I felt $7 would have gotten me a better tasting (larger) slice of cake elsewhere haha
