Review Soulfood Catering - Singapore

I’m surprised with the quality of the Nasi Lemak here. I’m blown away by the prawn - fresh and fat for my liking! The sambal is on the sweeter side but still spicy for those who is ok ok with spicy. I also wanted to try their non-nasi lemak dish so I had chicken chop instead. I’m so thankful that the salad is actual salad and not coleslaw! It was quite quiet when we head down but slowly people come in for dinner. So if you can make it, come down and have a taste! I’m definitely coming down to try their surf and turf combo!

Fragrant rice, crispy chicken, sweet and spicy sambak, and a banging otah. This is as good as nasi lemak can get. The specialty would be their grills, ranging from prawns to steak to even bangers and mash. If you're down for some Aussie fusion with nasi lemak, do explore these other options! Service could have been better. There's only one person taking order, cooking and serving and he was not even wearing a mask! Food took 45 mins to arrive as well. But perhaps his partner was not well? Nonetheless, we would still return for their nasi lemak because it's that good Accessibility features: Transport: 5 mins from MRT Entrance: 2 step up Indoor: fairly wide space Menu: white on brown, counter ordering Halal

There are two reasons for this low rating. 1. The staff did not wear a mask when taking our order and serving our food. I doubt he cooked it with a mask on but I wouldn't know. 2. We specifically asked for non-spicy and he assured us it was not. Unfortunately it was definitely full flavoured sambal and we could not share the food with our kids as intended. That said the food itself was decent if you like spicy food. Not as fantastic as the other reviews make it out to be.

Oh my god awesome! The sambal is pretty hot but oh so nice. Pictured is a plate of nasi lemak with a huge piece of otah and four prawns for $12. I'll definitely return.

Pleasantly surprised by this hole in the wall eatery. Tried the BBQ Prawn Nasi Lemak and was blown away. Well seasoned and fresh prawns, crispy ikan bilis, fragrant rice and egg cooked to perfection. I can tell the chef is passionate about his food. Will be back to try more!

this nasi lemak stall with a Aussie twist is located in one of the coffeeshop along Pahang street. Their stall is quite hidden behind the even in the coffeeshop. Price for the very basic nasi lemak starts from SGD$5 onwards. There are many variations of nasi lemak available, there are also interesting options like egg benny and banger & hash. I had the nasi lemak with BBQ chicken thigh which was SGD$7. Food was normal to be honest, tasted like the nasi lemak you find elsewhere. BBQ chicken thigh was well marinated but portion was quite little. For the portion, it was bit expensive for SGD$7. Not really value for money in my opinion.

We had Surf and Turf Platter and the food is just amazing. The Aussie steak melts in my mouth, the chicken is well marinated and the tasty rice blends well with the sambal chili. The only problem we had is, we just can't stop enjoying the food. Looking forward for more Aussie style Nasi Lemak by Soulfood Catering :)

Regardless if you want the traditional nasi lamak or the assuie BBQ mix, this spot has it all. The rice is very flavourful and sambal is good but on sweet side, if you don't mind. Light on peanut and dried fish side but regardless all yummy. Prices range from $5-$21 for the known surf and turf nasi lamak. Enjoyed the interesting fusion.

Had breakfast here today and it was delicious. Malaysian version of eggs benedict, with poached eggs on coconut rice. Add turkey bacon, spices - yummy is not the word.

Absolutely cannot stop thinking about their Nasi Lemak eggs benedict with smoked salmon. Will definitely be back there for more soon! Call in advance to order to cut waiting time as they prepare the food on the spot.
