It certainly does the job in terms of tasty kaya toast and kopi, however, I have to concur with some of the other reviewers in that it's not exactly the friendliest Killiney Kopitiam location.
Nice and quiet place (comparatively) hidden inside Katong Plaza. More crowded on weekends, even though it has more seats than most similar Singaporean styled cafés. Standard toast sets with variations and quick meals like laksa, mee siam, nasi lemak and sandwiches. Drinks besides Singapore style cof
Found a pebble stone in my kaya butter toast. Brought it back and asked for a refund. Counter lady (short hair w spec) attitude was back. Defensive.
Run of the mill killiney kopitiam. Offers coffee and mains as well. A little bit more on the expensive side for normal street fare, but this place being in a mall has a great advantage for people wanting to beat the outside heat and have a quick bite and coffee.
The breakfast sets are great as expe
Classic local breakfast. Didn’t expect much but I must say the Kopi Kosong Gao didn’t disappoint me. The only wish is the kaya toast can be thicker or got more piece. It’s weird to eat kaya toast but it’s just like a bite size bread. Don’t mind to pay slightly more
Basically a mom and pop cafe branded as killiney. I suppose the coffee is from killiney, and everything else is up to the owners.
Lots of food choices (I didn’t try).
Wait was long and food inconsistent - one kaya toast was pretty burnt, another soft.
Always hard to operate small single unit cafes
laksa is terrible.. noodle not well cooked and gravy quite salty. I gave up!!! Staff very busy and will not entertain feedback
Cashier with short hair and spectacles needs to improve on her attitude. Be less defensive and apologise when there is a shortfall in service. Arguing will only turn customers away.
