For almost 5 years I spent nearly every weekend of my life there. That bar was truly my second home. Might not be for everyone, and I haven't been there in a long time since I moved from Singapore, but that place will always be one of my best memories from my time in Singapore.
Great atmosphere, the staff are like family! Always willing to go out of their way to make your evening more enjoyable!

Started in the 50s, Nelson Bar used to be frequented by sailors and captains who docked at the Sembawang naval shipyard, making it one of the oldest bars in Singapore.
The bar’s history is still retained through pieces left by sailors – old pictures, life buoys and scribbles on walls – and a pool table that’s made out of decommissioned ships.
You must visit Nelson Bar to experience this nostalgic spot and perhaps learn a thing or two about this bar’s past over some drinks and a game of pool with friends. Pool table is not available due to COVID-19 restrictions these days.
For vegetarians and non alcoholic people like me,they do serve a range of mocktails and plant based dishes etc.
It is a place to rest, relax, listen to music and mingle with nice people.
Zila served me well.
Thank you Mashel for inviting me to such a historical place.

Highly recommended drink outlet with a great ambience and outstanding customer service from Ms.Zila. Thanks so much for your warm reception of our visit on 7th July 2021 and looking after us so very well. Good to be at this Nelson outlet after so many years and happy to see it still standing after all these decades. God bless!!
You can literally meet Mariners from every seafaring county on earth, good cold Tiger & you can stumble back to the ship if need be.
A place full of character. And unlike Al Capone’s House Of Ripoff beside this establishment, Nelson’s serves an honest pour with smiling service.
Still maintainig the place as it was before with slight changes. Still a good place to hang out and chill..
One of chill place to hang out in the north. Can tell there are lots of nostalgia went down there. Chill music, nice ppl hanging out 👍😊
Far far away food court in industrial estate. Reached there 11.30am on a Friday lunchtime. Short queue ahead. Queue cleared fast as the cashier and kitchen are efficient. Soup is very rich and flavourful. $5 portion is still good, with 5 half big prawn. But the quick sand egg was disappointing. Overall noodle, prawn and soup did not disappoint me.
