Bought this home for the family when shopping in Jewel. Very nicely crafted dessert that came with a pricey tag.
The shells were good golden brown but lack that slight crunchiness. The texture was a little dense but not soft enoughas a contrast of the shell. Each eclaire had a glaze was done well and sparkle in the light. Some of the flavours were a little overwhelming and can be too harsh on the palate for some.
My favourites are the salted caramel and the spiced pear chocolate. They are good but still lack that "oh it is so good" factor.
This outlet is just a kiosk for takeaway located at L1, not like their main cafe at dhoby ghaut. Nevertheless, they serve the same desserts - their signature éclairs. Not only look pretty, they taste good and not too sweet. Definitely a great option to buy as gift as well.
Definitely not the cheapest eclair but the product quality is there. Ispahan was the most delicious flavour that we tasted. Vanilla and caramelized pecan was tasty. The dark chocolate was okay. The lavender milk chocolate had a bit overwhelming smell, remind you more as an essential oil, not as a dessert (i'm quite sure it had some drops of the edible lavender essential oil).
Beautifully pieced together, would made a perfect house gift. Personal favourite is lemon flavour, refreshing and not too sweet. Price on the steeper side ~$8/pcs. Would only get it with burpple deal. Recommend to buy first before shopping around jewel and collect later to reserve the flavours you want before it’s sold out.
As a French person, I strongly approve of these éclairs and this pastry shop in general.
Nicely assembled, tasty, a bit pricey maybe but not excessive either.
Attached is a picture of the dark chocolate éclair, the lemon meringue éclair, the salted caramel and popcorn elcair and the pistachio strawberry éclair (from left to right)
