Ah Seah Teochew Porridge - Singapore - Photo album

It’s not cheap, especially with a fish, but a satisfying meal. Not too full as it is a porridge meal, clean tasting and not bad quality or should I say good quality indeed. 5 stars for overall results.
Very decent teochew style porridge that has been around kovan area for the longest time. Have been visiting them since I was young. Prices is a bit on the high side especially their fish dishes but the food quality has been good all along. Do drop by and come try it for yourself if you're a teochew
Fish slice has been prepared way before ordering to cater to the demand. Thickness is a bit thin to feel the fishy meat when you bite and chewing. Out of surprise the nearby shop for DimSum served quite good carrot cake and DimSum
Braised meat is good, long beans are salty. Nothing special about porridge. Ordering is quite disorganized because delivery orders are shouted by staff over customers in the queue. Price of food is $5.60, and I don't think it's much better than average mixed rice stall. Alternative sheltered parkin
Homely fare at inflated prices. The taste is nothing much to shout about, nothing your old mother can't cook up. This meal for two costs $17.60. The small portion of braised duck for two pax was listed as $5, and the bottom half of it was lined with half cooked and really old cucumber which was toug
No frills teochew porridge. Soul food with a large selection of dishes. This Teochew porridge place has been here for a long time since my days in college.
Fish was overcooked, the lala taste weird though.. the kungpo chicken was alright. Rest was normal.. not worth the price.. this cost $51.
It's simple fare. Fish could have been fresher and was a tad hard, maybe it was too small? Not worth $15. But will try different dishes if there's a next time, they have quite a selection.
