Despite its rather “nostalgic” environment and lack of service, I still give 5 stars for the great execution, succulent and fresh seafood which is good value for money.
Jumbo oyster steamed with garlic is fantastic, plump and juicy. My favorite.
Australian lobster baked with cheese surprised us as well. The cheese they used is not only cheese but mixed with maybe starch or potato that tasted lighter with extra layer of flavor.
Apart from seafood, the vegetables, noodles and pork dish were excellent. Even the presentation of dish doesn’t look good at all.

One of the nicest dim sum place hidden in Turf City. Dim sum with 30% discount and quite a variety. Traditional Chinese restaurant and suggested to book your table especially on festival. There is no different when you book and walk in 🤔. No question asked when the spring rolls are burnt and requested for replacement. Recommended dishes deep fried egg plant w/Garlic and scallop in yam paste.

Kitchen chefs have ZERO forks to presentation of their dishes. Especially the fish is so messed up as if it was cooked in a nuclear reactor. Pork ribs taste soured. Peking duck is cold. Roasted chicken is dry. Their E-fu noodles is the worst of all.

Did not know Ah Yat @ Grandstand was so big until I was hosted there for a lunch by afri friend. Like I'm stepping into a 70s era restaurant. Of course with live seafood the food is expected to be the best, so are the prices.

Having 30% off for dim sum at Ah Yat Seafood, the restaurant is quite full and limited time for dining. The buns, egg tarts and ma lai gao are quite good; siu mai, pork ribs & spring roll are also okay, only cheong fan is not nice. Overall environment is crowded, a bit noisy and too busy whereas food is average. Price is reasonable after discount.

Use the lift to locate this hidden gem at level 3 with great Tim Sum atmosphere! The food is typical of a traditional established Tim Sum restaurant served on table clothed settings with cushioned chairs. Do not expect too much from the service staff, who are mostly busy and distracted. One of them unexpectedly took away my half eaten stuffed crab, when I only paused from savoring it. So when you’re there be focused on the food and nothing else!

Same old same old. Have been coming here for more than a decade. Food is still good. Service is still mediocre but prompt. Ambience is getting very very old. And prices is creeping up (likely due to inflation)
