Review Little Farms Cafe - Singapore

Food didn’t live up to the expectations after having read some awesome reviews here. Seafood linguine was less than flavourful. No garlic oomph. Pan seared fish was dry and small in proportion. Chicken penne Pomodoro on the kids menu was boring at best. Saving grace was the attentive service 👌🏽 well-staffed and great management of crowd.

Came here after 1.5 years on Sun for breakfast. It was a mixed bag of experiences. All the staff were changed; the earlier people knew us & our preferences. Reception: Polite, & allowed us to pick our seat. Most were only stools; wanted a chair for my wife. We had to wait 5-6 minutes for someone to bring one. Menu: drastically different: took us by surprise. We selected & requested for the water to b served quickly & then the coffee so that we could take our masks off. Service: 4 on the 10. Took 7-8 minutes to get us water, & came together with the coffee ! Water: restaurants cannot force customers to pay for the restaurant’s CSR practice. Filtered water in a bottle is compulsorily charged per head. This is unfair. We asked for pepper; had to wait 4-5 minutes for it & tell 2 others. Food: The only redeeming factor. The portion was huge (see the pic), and generous. Delicious as well, even though it is expensive. Overall, we wouldn’t come again largely because of the service related issues.

Our 1st time here to this cafe for breakfast. We were pleased with the service staff here. She knows the food they serve and was able to recommend us the popular food served there. The price of food here is kind of steep. We were surprised that a cup of warm water cost $0.80. We were charged for 3 cups as we asked for 1 cup to be refilled without realising that we would be charged for warm water right from the beginning. Coffee here is of a bitter taste. Not what we had expected. With 2 cups of coffee, 3 cups of warm water and 2 mains, the bill came up to about $75 including GST and service charge. It was an expensive breakfast but the food served here was of good quality. It’s still worth a try for those of you who want a healthy breakfast or on a keto diet.

Lovely ambience with a few keto options. But the pork sausage has boar taste (uncastrated male pig flesh has a taste only Asians can taste it) so if you are sensitive about about taste pls skip the sausage. I went to the supermarket next door and they have a variety of keto products. I have bought the low carb cookies omg it was so nice! I will buy that again for sure!

Cooked the steaks as according to requested doneness - medium-rare, in-spite that they had to manage a huge group of us (21 pax). Their Long Black is very good too! I like that they serve free flow of sparkling water as well. Very attentive and prompt service, with smiles 👍👍

Love the outdoor eating area with an unobstructed view of River Valley Rd. There is absolutely nothing to complain about but to compliment. Unfortunately, they Tan out of Vege Lasagna. Accommodating staff, little waiting time and a great meal. Recommend

Surprise to the new change of valley point cafe, this is not what I would expect. Food – I love the old menu better like Beef Burrito, Beef Lasagna, Mac & Cheese, Cheesecake, Fruit tart. The old-style carbonara was at $22, this is already on a pretty high price and yet the new menu changed to $24. Having price aside, the taste is disappointing to me, I prefer the old creamy carbonara with quality ham. Seafood Linguine - Squid was a bit bland, prawns were average, clams taste a little fishy and this dish cost $28, it is probably the first time trying and never the second time. Sparkling water is $2 per pax, that sounds like minimum spending to me and not so appealing for a cafe to be doing this. Coffee beans seem to change as well, not sure whether is the roasting method of beans that changed or the milk that makes the entire coffee feels bad. Environment - The Lasagna, beef burrito, salads corner was all gone, no more grab-and-go cafe concept. It feels uneasy coming into valley point cafe now with gym attire, it feels like I am stepping into a restaurant with the wrong outfit. I felt uneasy through my entire meal with my friend. Service - It was relatively quiet on a weekday night and the service crew is pretty attentive to needs. But it still feels uneasy for a regular who is so used to be going over to queue and see the beautiful salad and pastry counter. I prefer the old way, at least I get to choose/see what I want, that is more like a cafe.

My family is quite particular about the beef that goes into our all time family favourite: Japanese curry. So far, only the organic beef cubes for stew will go into this dish at home. The beef from Little Farm is not certified organic but from grass-fed cattle free of hormones and antibiotics. It is comparable in terms of tenderness and flavour with the more pricey organic beef I used to buy. I think I have found a winner here!

Good choice of organic grocery. A few more trips guaranteed.

The BEST. Simple as that. As a chef, I do most of my shopping here.
