Really good food at this coffee shop! Delicious Foods - Highly recommended! Their laksa is really really good! Usually sold out by lunchtime so do go early! Their Lor Mee & Prawn mee is also good! ❤️
Popular coffee shop in Siglap among the residents. Do check out their chicken rice which is a resident gem.
Lot of choices in this coffeeshop and very popular with locals. Half the patrons will be eating at the Ah Lim Mee Pok stall. I like lots of veggies in my food to balance out the carbs and saltiness, but sad to say, Ah Lim Mee Pok doesn't even have bean sprouts. The corner chicken rice stall is very decent and popular too. Then there is the forever queue at the Nasi Padang stall. The Peranakan stall - everyone tells me their nasi ulam and chendol is good but i have tasted way better. So I come here for only ONE stall - the nondescript stall that says "Delicious Foods" (全好吃).
Translated it means everything is nice. And they are not wrong. How the stallholder (a lady in her 60s) juggle making so many dishes baffles me (i do know she comes as early as 5:30am to prepare):
1. Prawn Mee
2. Pork Rib Prawn Noodle
3. Lor Mee
4. Laksa with cockles
I can testify that EVERYTHING in the above is good.
Why? It's made with love.
I would come here regularly and just rotate the above dishes.
For the Prawn/Pork Rib Noodle, the prawns used are fresh and the soup is tasty. Loads of veggies too.
For the Lor Mee, it's loaded with fine ingredients, with a tinge of vinegar. You can load up with fried fish too.
For the Laksa, it's my favourite here. It beats all the ones in Katong, with yummy cockles. U can ask for more bean sprouts. They do sell out when u come too late.
Importantly, i don't get MSG-attack after eating. Finally, to reduce carbs intake, i bring my own zoodles, vegetable noodles, and dangmyeon 당면 (used for japchae) to replace their noodles. They were kind to oblige.
Parking? Just park at the public carpark opposite and cross over. As a resident, i walk/cycle here.
With this pandemic, i actually prefer to pack and eat these wonderful food in the comfort of my home.
Sometimes, the least "popular" are the hidden gems.
Quite impressed by the number of good stalls here at this coffee shop. From the roasted delights, to the bak chor mee, to the nasi padang, I was genuinely quite surprised. Only thing though, is parking. You'll likely need to find some spot inside the private estate, to park. Or just take a cab here.
Flavorful roasted chicken ! Must come back for more !
Best laksa in Singapore! Huge juicy cockles, rich soup base that isn't too coconutty or watered-down like other competitors
