I love this restaurant. The green curry is delicious, very creamy and with the good ratio of spicy-sweetness. The mango salad is very nice too. Service is good
Good Thai food that makes me think I am in Bangkok! Chicken Tom yum (with coconut) packs a punch, the fried egg omelet is really good and their minced pork basil is as Thai as it can get. Their mango sticky rice is so delicious and it comes with great service too! Full marks!
I decided to try this place out as I was nearby and noticed the good reviews of this place. The moment the waitress greeted us at the door, I could tell that the reviews must be accurate! She was so friendly and polite. Throughout our meal, our water was constantly topped up and even right before we leave the place, we were still greeted with a smile.
Whats more, the food served here are really good a nd value for money! We ordered Phad Thai, classic platter (stuffed chicken wings, prawn toast, spicy fish cake), tom yum soup and mango sticky rice. If I were to be picky, I would say that the soup was too spicy for average diner and so loaded that it can almost be called a dressing.
More importantly, I didn't give it a 5-star review because of the dessert. I was disappointed because the mango wasn't sweet at all and the sticky rice was a little too mushy. The coconut "sauce" was also too watery and bland. That said, I will still definitely visit this place again if I'm in the vicinity!
I like the red curry which rich and generous in portion. The garlic prawn and tom yum is not bad. However the stir fried basil squid is a little underwhelming as i tot it is not as flagrant and squid is slightly tough. Vermicelli was okay.
We had the opportunity to try this food joint at Joo Chiat Rd today & had a pleasant time. The place although small was cozy & clean. Decoration was kept minimal with a small bar counter, drop down lights & Thai inspired wall art. Thai music was on low which I liked. Staff was courteous & attentive. The menu selection was rather wide but since it was just the two of us we ordered the chicken tom yam, deep fried fish, stir fried veggies, fried chicken wings & for drinks had Thai iced tea. We preferred the drink with crushed ice instead of cubes but hey we can't have everything 😉. (Note that they don't serve steam fish). After the full meal we don't have tummy room for dessert so we ordered mango sticky rice to go. Yes, we'll likely return to try other dishes & would recommend this place to those who enjoy authentic Thai dishes.
