Review Guzman Y Gomez - Northpoint City - Singapore

Ron Wong
Guzman y Gomez has quickly become a forefront in Singaporean minds when it comes to Mexican food. In my last visit, I brought a friend who has never had any Mexican food before and his face was in complete awe as soon as he dug into the fries. From the fries to the enchiladas, everything was perfectly seasoned with spices. The food was very flavourful and they offer some very customizable options - such as adding sour cream, or choosing a particular meat for your tacos. Not to mention that the portion was quite generous. The wide array of authentic Mexican sodas are a must have for your visit here. The service staff was great and accommodating to all our questions. Overall, if you're looking into enjoying some Mexican food, you needn't look further than this place.

1st time trying (take away, North Point Outlet). Pretty good taste. Tried all 3 meat (beef, chicken & pork). Personally thought the beef & chicken taste better. The pork is well cooked but just lack of fragrance. Overall I give it a 4 star rating.

Hardly find a mexican restaurant at North area, definitely bang for buck! Personally love the chicken and pork more than the fish fillings, barramundi not as suitable for mexican cuisine in my opinion (dory fish would be better). $9.90 for main, fries and drinks when you make a free online order account, super worth.

I always enjoy Mexican food as it’s full of flavours and with a good balance of vegetables and meat. So I just have to try Guzman Y Gomez since there are so many good reviews. I ordered the hard Tacos x3 pieces set meal. They are not stingy with the ingredients with a good balance of vegetables (lots of cheese). Service is good, food is served within 5mins after ordering. Will come back again to try others on the menu. Good work and thank you.

I wasn't surprised to see that at the time of writing, this place has 4.4 stars. Brilliant food. I got the cheese fries, which were filled with all sorts of ingredients, from cheese to onions, to tomatoes, and even avocado. You'd think that this odd blend or ingredients would render the fries soggy, but that wasn't the case. The fries were crispy and well seasoned. Their quesedillas were a little small, but delicious nonetheless. Everything here taste exceptional. However, the prices are a little steep, don't say I didn't warn ya.

Not too crowded on a weekday afternoon. Service is prompt and staff helpful. Food is the usual Guzman style mex. What to order? Tacos obviously and the tortillas Salsa has a nice kick

Second time to Gozman y Gomez. First time to this outlet. The staff was helpful and the food was really nice. Authentic and affordable Mexican food. We had a burrito bowl with pulled pork, a nachos with grilled steak and a taco with chicken. The meats were lovely cooked till tender, full of flavour and all the burritos and nachos were really crispy. I always love to add in the Spanish onions, coriander and jalapeños as additional toppings that elevate the taste better. Goes well with the beer or fizzy drinks. Will always visit this brand.

I had quesadillas(3x for $10.90) and drink (Jarritos $4), one portion meat requested was barramundi($1) that amounts to $15.90. The meal did not leave me full. The quasadillas, per piece was like 9cm in length(somewhat like 1/2 size of the kfc meltz) and the restaurant did not offer any meal combos or sets. Here is my honest opinion:- Layout- Iooking at the menu i cant differentiate what is enchillada, burrito bowl and nachos. It all looks the same in the bowl. I suggest a short description is better to illustrate what are we eating. Same with fajita & burrito. We are not born mexican so many of this dishes are not familiar to us Taste - The counter has 3 sources, i do not know which one to use and what purpose? Maybe a brief description of what taste the sauce is will be better Price& locality- As mentioned on top, price is a little steep for a set up that looks like a fast food restaurant. Please have some set meals as most likely anyone eating will need a drink, and adding up cost like this will make it expensive. given northpoint has so many eateries, price point like this combined with unfamiliar food might result in low patronage.
