The food here is really good! I recommend their soy sauce chicken ramen, XO carrot cake, roasted pork belly, BBQ char siu, and of course, their signature soy sauce chicken! I will come back again!
The best soy sauce chicken I had so far. 不失水准! Presentation on point Keep up the good work
I love this restaurant. Their roast pork belly damn crispy and delicious, it don’t have that burn and salty base. Their special La La soup is great! Recommend
My wife and I really enjoy eating the food here. A straight forward 5/5 for the food served. Fresh and cooked w quality. The meat is very authentic. Char Siew, Soy Sauce chicken and roasted meat is awesome. The fried carrot cake is crispy and addictive. Give it a try and u will know what i mean. The Chendol served is abit different from those that we always eat, the ice is smooth, cold and smooth.. Another must try!
Will definitely return for more!
The trio platter consists of honey barbecued pork, roast pork and soy sauce chicken guaranteed to satisfy the carnivore in you. It's amazing that the crackling skin of the roast pork remained crispy throughout the dinner in spite of being drenched with a special sauce. The prawn roll was excellent fried to perfection and full of flavour of coarsely chopped prawns and minced pork in perfect marriage. The tomato egg comes highly recommended and goes perfectly well with a bowl of steaming rice. It's eggy and velvety generously coated with a special blend of tomato sauce. The other dishes such as the clam soup and the spicy yong tau foo were equally good and reminded me of home cooked food. While there were generous large clams I wish that there were more vegetables in the soup to give it a more balanced texture. The food were presented in lovely blue and white plates that made the dining very pleasant indeed. While the food was excellent I wasn't too impress with the home cooked barley which tasted very diluted although the glass was half filled with the cooked barley. I hope this gem will continue to maintain the high culinary standards and I will be back to sample the other dishes.
I had the tri combo noodle with no chilli and wife had the soy chicken horfun. We also ordered a chicken liver.
Food-wise, i think it is of high quality and price is very affordable for a restaurant in a mall. Noodle texture and hardness are perfect. Sauce is not too salty. The highlight is the barbeque pork (char siew). Perfectly caramelised that brings out a little charred flavour but not losing the marinate of the pork. Tender with just the right amount of fat and meat. Roasted pork is equally good. Soy chicken is smooth and tender but I still love the char siew. Chicken liver portion is more than what you would get in a hawker stall and the liver is good!
Ambience, we went on a Mon evening so not crowded at all. Staff is efficient and service is so-so.
Will visit again for the quality and price. Kudos!
This is my go-to place in Chinatown Point if I feel like having Chinese dishes. They serve an excellent selection of char siew, roasted pork and soy sauce chicken, they also have other dishes that is likely to satisfy the varying tastebuds of diners, ensuring that there is something for everyone
Had a late lunch with my colleagues after waiting for my other colleague to return from lunch. I have walked past this restaurant a couple of times and noticed the Char Siew winking at me. They looked as pretty as the gourmet Char Siew in Crystal Jade but I did not have time to really have a deep conversation with them. Today, I decided that I must give it a try. Pricing was fair and portion was generous. Instead of seeing the Char Siew take centre stage, I was surprised that they were actually famous for Soy Sauce Chicken. Here comes the tough part, with Lee Keong just at Hong Lim, Chiew Kee Soy Sauce Chicken just across the road, Char is also nearby, competition is indeed intense! The char siew here is good, not heavenly good but good enough. It’s not too sweet neither is the Char Siew sauce overpowering, maybe I just came back from HK and Joy Hing’s char Siew is still lingering on my mind, I felt that if the meat carried a stronger flavor, it would have been awesome but other people may find it too sinful. So still recommended. The soy sauce chicken was Wow! Very well marinated, tender, tasty but never oily, I could keep eating and never felt the oil floating in my system, no chest grabbing as well. Awesome! Right up there with the best soy sauce chicken. So here we have it, nice ambience, great food, right price. Do try it and let me know if you like it as well.
Lunch at Haikee Brothers with mom.
It's my first time trying their food. We ordered the trio combo noodles($8.80), soya sauce chicken noodles($6.50) plus a small side of chicken liver($0.80) and bittergourd seafood soup($7.50).
The soya sauce chicken and roasted meats didn't rock my world but the liver was very flavourful and tender. And guess what, I will return just for the yummy soup. It was sweet and refreshing due to the addition of clams according to my mom. Good amount of fresh bouncy fish slices and though the bittergourd slices were thickly cut, they were not too bitter.
Saw an old couple at next table ordering the lotus root and pork rib claypot stew and it looked really good. Makes me want to try their other dishes besides the signature chicken mains.
Super love their crockery too 😍
Surprisingly good hongkong fare. soft and succulent soy sauce chicken that rivals the much hyper neighbouring hawker Chan, sans the tourist crowd.
Can give it a try if you're craving hk fare but can't care for the tourist jostle
Reasonable priced, food and fast service, clean and neat chicken noodles restaurant in Chinatown Point. Highly recommended and the portion is good. Delicious soy sauce chicken or roasted pork noodles.
