Delicious prawn noodles, reasonable price, love the pork lard (refillable) and good service from the owners (young humble couple). It’s rare to have all these good stuff all in one place! A MUST eat for me when I’m at Alexandra Village Food Centre!
For those who haven’t eaten there before, do drop by and give your support! Good food must share! Keep up the good work and service!
Good taste, good portion size, good price... very worth the cost!
I really really love Ming's Prawn noodles! Only the freshest ingredients are used - lots of hard work goes into fetching the freshest prawns, cooking great quality broth, and even preparing the condiments and toppings! A MUST TRY
First impression is always the most important thing to build your clients' loyalty and you have earned that from me!
List of things I like about the stall:
- The food is great
- They give you option for de-shelled prawns
- The service is even greater
- They give wet tissue and pre cut the pack for you (im guessing to make your life easier if you dirty your hands when you peel the prawns, it gets really slippery) ( btw this caught my attention the most!)
Powerful broth. One of my top choices for the dry prawn noodles. Not many take the time to make such a broth. A dying breed.
Yummy prawn broth with no fishy after taste. Soft spare ribs and fresh prawns. Friendly bosses. Free serving of pork lard. Umami to the max!!!
Excellent broth with great attention to natural flavors. Been coming back quite often..
Been there 6 times. Prawns and ribs are very fresh. Soup is awesome. Good news big eaters- extra noodles and take-aways no extra charge!
Love the soup! Can taste both the prawn and pork essence!
Tasty broth, fresh prawns, tender pork ribs and excellent service!
Prawns are really fresh and ribs are tender.. The soup is tasty too.. Not to mention you get service with a smile.. Will be back for more..
Wonderful (and possibly my new found favourite) pork ribs prawn noodles!
Ordered the pork rib prawn noodles (dry) ($5.50), sauce was flavourful and blended well with the noodle as a dish. Came with 3 pcs of pork ribs (which was relatively meaty) and 3 pcs of prawns. The soup was light yet flavourful and I don’t think there was a lot of MSG in it because I didn’t feel exceptionally thirsty after the meal.
Lard was self-service and initially when I saw the lard being wet and sticking with each other, I was a bit skeptical but it turned out to be crispy and delish too. 10/10 would recommend!
Sad to see a business close. Prawn noodle is 1 of the best. All the best for your future
This hawker centre have 4 different prawn Noodle shops. This happen to be a newer one that opens. It used to be crowded but overtaken by the 2 shops in the centre row. Nonetheless, this prawn noodle is still pretty decent and the stall owner lady is very friendly.
A good bowl of prawn noodles run by a young couple 👍🏼
The soup was lighter than the usual ones but still as good. And you can help yourself with the amount of pork lard you want. Yes, goes really well with each mouthful of noodles 🤣
Let’s put it into perspective. Photo of LHL at the stall, we immediately it must be Super. Remember LHL is Not a gd food connoisseur ☺️.
I ordered Pork rib prawn noodles with added pig tails. Here are my comments:
The ingredients were fresh. Pork tail could have been more tender, mine was almost crunchy. The soup was tasty enough but not prawny enough. This is where geylang prawn noodles beat them hands down. The extra $3 pigtails ( maybe 4pcs) i
Ordered was all Squeezed into the same bowl and I didn’t have noodles. 1st time I ran out of carbs!
What I liked was the free wet towels, the pork lard that you can heap on yourself and they peeled the prawn for me.
Bottom line - I paid $8 for my bowl of prawn noodles. I think it’s worth max $7. If I needed a prawn noodle fix, this is not the stall I
Would think of 1st. It’s a nice bowl of noodles with gd ingredients at a costly price. Better if they separated the bulky pig tails and give the customer more soup and enough noodles.
Ordered the large ribs noodle and prawn noodle for $5 each. Small bowl for $3.50. Food is good, broth is not overpowered by the taste of MSG.
