Review Bikanervala - Singapore

Anish Kumar Giri
One of my favourite restaurant whom I waited eagerly to reopen at T3. Unfortunatly after reopening the taste was not the same as it use to be and was pretty average not jutifying the price. Not sure if the cook has changed. But this is something management need to take care. At 9:30 pm will the last order and the staff will leave the restaurant for you to have the dinner as your convenience.

Bikanervala reopened last week with a bang after a 2 year closure, since April 8th 2020. Amazing experience with Ambarsaria Sukhwinder at the reception again. Same great taste with a Brilliant ambience and the Royal Cuisine of Rajasthani dishes.

As a family of vegetarians, this was a wonderful find. We ended up eating here multiple times both during arrival and departure. The food was so tasty that we ended up planning getting to the airport so that we can eat there. Highly recommend this to vegetarian families looking for good north Indian food.

Wonderful place to eat. Specially for Indian food lovers. Has exquisite dishes from India that are rarely available anywhere else. Loved the place.

The food was extremely good. We had landed in Singapore and were looking for Indian food for my daughter. She enjoyed the place thoroughly. They have agreed variety of Indian snacks. It took us some while to reach this place. The sitting arrangement is great. We had idli, the sambhar was great. tea and coffee was great too. It is expensive but so is everything at the airport. It was so relieving to find this place in the airport. The owner is very polite and helpful.

I liked the food …only thing is they are charging service tax for all items including sweets (take away) though we have to place & collect our order at counter ( not table service). Very disappointing

Mouth watering and delicious Indian foods. Be its chat, roti, Paneer curry, deserts... Bikanervala Thali is the best. Everything is so perfect. Glad to have this in the Singapore airport, so that everyone can leave Singapore with a mouth watering memory. Problem with the attitude of lady supervisor here, she doesn't treat Indians well with hospitality but smiles and treats well Western visitors too much. She should remember that everyone pays the same amount, hehe... Anyways, You can ignore her and enjoy the amazing recipes...

Bikanervala has a lovely plethora of North and South Indian dishes include chapati, tandoori and briyani. There is also Chinese and continental food including vegetable quesadilla and Szechuan noodles. It was pleasant to find that the Chinese noodles were done very well. Fragant and full of chinese spices like spring onion and five spice. Indian food was absolutely amazing. The moment it is collected the fragrance is intense and the taste is extremely strong and full of flavor. Food is a tad bit too spicy for comfort unless you are an Indian and you are used to it This is Changi airport so expect high prices up to $15 a dish. Portions are reasonable leaning towards small. Overall fantastic and authentic Indian food with friendly staff and comfortable seating.

We visited the Bikanervala Airport outlet on 25th Nov and have decided that we are never gg back ! Jus as we walked in, a Filipino staff told us that only the South Indian Dishes were available. We were disappointed but decided to still dine in since we were already there. It took a few minutes for them to prepare the food and when i was being served, i found the forks in the cutlery tray were dirty. The extra plate I asked for also had traces of dal on it meaning it had not been washed properly. I changed the plate n wiped the cutlery bfr using it only to be more disappointed. The Red Chilli Chutney was very cold indicating (Chilled in fridge). The Coconut chutney was bland n watery. The dal was more like a clear lentil soup - very watery too. The Idli n Vadai were hard. Tasted like frozen ones. Pls improve the quality of your food.

Poor taste and very poor value for money. Ordered a Raj Kachori : this dish had more curd than any chaat. This was not tangy at all. Kachori was tasteless and was probably hollow without a lot of kachori masala in it. Also, the kachori was hard, despite being dipped in an ocean of curd. Ordered a sev puri as well. I did not know that anyone could make a sev puri so ordinary. This had very few condiments added to it. Surprising given its price. I am so disappointed in this place. Unfortunate really. My total bill was 15$. Money I could have spent elsewhere. This place does not hold a candle to Kailash Parbat in Little India.

I am not sure what people are expecting but I think this is a very nice place and very close to the real Bikanerwala in Gurgaon. I am not sure what someone means by authentic chaat because every state, city, town, street in India have their own versions/renditions and not everyone is supposed to like all versions all the time. The service is pleasant and some of the eateries in Little India should take cue from them. The food is delicious, all menu items are available and overall, its a nice drive even for someone like me who resides in the west of Singapore. M. Mahal at Little India Arcade maybe convenient for sweets but nothing beats this taste if you are willing to travel to their shop. Sweets are a bit pricey though but authentic. Will be back again.

We catered from them for my son's first birthday. The service was great. Parmod was super accommodating and helpful. He even gave me a 'Kids friendly' tag on the food I wanted and made 2 separate portions with separate chaffing dishes of Pav Bhaji (One for adults and another for kids). On the day itself, the staff that came over were also very helpful. The fried rice, manchurian, noodles, pav bhaji and chaats were also very tasty. Our guests were very happy and praised the food! Thank you!

I am writing this review to share the wonderful experience we had with Bikanervala. We catered from them for my daughters first Lohri celebration yesterday. Starting from delivery, to the set up, food, hygiene and service, everything was beyond our expectations. The food was amazing, with mouthwatering chaats leaving my guests asking for more. The main course was amazing as well. The boys manning the counter were pleasant and engaged well with the crowd like a typical golgappa wala bhaiya.Three cheers to the team for their amazing service and the delectable food that was relished by all.Thank you.

This is thr 2nd time I ate out at their Changi outlet ... and it was quite a letdown: 1. The khasta kachori chaat was stale and far from crunchy 2. The Bikaneerwali Thali which costs SGD 18.5 was the biggest disaster ... it is grossly overpriced for the quality and quantity .. the pulao was average at best and so was the paneer sabzee. The sweet was stale and absolutely not fresh ... but the worst was definiyely the paneer tikka ... instead of being soft and moist it was dry and the lower layer was chewy and hard .. it was pathetic. In comparison the thali served by "Panchatantra" at a lesser cost is a winner hands down 3. The Chola Batute was the only facesaver ... however it's nowhere even close to the ones "Kailash Parbaat" serves . IMHO, it does not deserve a repeat visit ..

Best authentic indian food I've had in sg put together by amazing friendly people behind it. As a student, I found the prices to be extremely affordable considering how great the food was. Worth every visit without a doubt! Definitely coming again :)

Not so pleasant experience at Bikaneer Changi airport. 2 aunties unable to decide what to eat at the counter, kept the queue waiting and staff couldn't care less. Can't hold up people at airport!! Had to just leave.

Bikanerwala is one of the best Indian cuisine restaurant in Singapore. It is located at Changi Terminal 3 as soon as you arrive to Singapore. They have also opened another branch at 253 Tanjong Katong Road. Enjoy all Chaats, Chhole Bhatura, Rajma and other delicacies. You can also buy all snacks, Sweets and gift packs for your Family, Friends and colleagues.

Very poor value for money. The standard is really low for Singapore. The executive thali had mainly carbs and nothing else. The coconut chutney was not from resh coconut. The South Indian thali had dosa and idli that were tasteless. The bhatura in Chola Bhatura was like an oversized Puri.

Bikanervala is a fantastic option for vegetarian at Changi Airport. I was really impressed with their sweet and savoury offerings. My particular favourites were the rasmalai, bhattura and the thali. We are so happy that the airport has somewhere we can eat now - Keep up the great work!
