Review Moghul Sweets - Singapore

MS. SUCHI
I had been buying sweets from Moghul for last 10 years ,they have not compromised on quality. Waiting time to buy sweets is between 1 to 2 hours during Diwali. Payment is by cash only and POSB and DBS bank counters are next to the shop only. I bought half kg Motichur laddoo, 3 half kg assorted types of sweet boxes and 3 samosas for gifting purposes for $90. Though they tried to organise queues during festive seasons but many people were trying to join the queue without taking the queue number and some tried to enter from the other side of the shop. As it rained ,they had difficulty managing queues as people were not cooperating. I pray that their business flourish and hopefully they move to a bigger space as I love Moghal sweet shop for it's quality stuff. Thank you and Happy Diwali to those who are celebrating.

Popular and fast moving sweets shop at this area. Always crowded. You would get the regular sweets like laddu, milk sweet/barfiis, samosas, kathcoris, jamoons, et al. Shop is at busy junction and by the main road, hence crowd and probably the reason why sweets are fresh compared to other stalls (items made for the day gets sold same day).

Over-rated and over-priced. Well atleast that's my opinion. Taste, nothing to shout about, certainly not as authentic as I would expect it to be especially with their Premium pricing.

Fabulous various sweet selections. My personal favourite is Samosa and Chutney. Simply Awesome!! Thumbs up👍

Terrible attitude and service made it a pathetic experience for us! Firstly when we arrived at the shop, the person behind counter asked us to decide quickly. When we sought time to look through and decide, he stepped out of the shop only to return after 10 minutes while we waited patiently for him. We asked for 2 rasmalais which the person put in a single bowl (cup) and gave it to us. We requested for another bowl (cup) as there were 2 of us and we wanted to eat it there. The person berated us saying we should have said it before as he assumed it is a takeaway and reluctantly gave another bowl. We didn't want to argue further and stepped out but overall experience left a sour taste. Understand Moghul sweets has been around for a while but would definitely say that no shop can survive basis past reputation alone. Please do learn to treat customers with respect and empathy, that is the least that a customer deserves for visiting the shop.

Good Indian sweet shop. However, it’s really on the pricier side of things. Price does not correlate with the quality.

Karachi Halwa was spoilt and Coconut Ladoo was a little too greasy

crazy queues, but worth the wait. freshly made always. amongst the best old-school indian sweet stalls in singapore. skip the samosas - these are now overpriced & not that tasty as they were previously. for the sweets however, the snaking lines despite the season or time of day speak for itself!
