Nice place to chill, relax and be productive.
There are three types of tea you can order that are serve in teapots.
Prices ranges from $5 - $10 and it is given in a form of donation. So if you had great time there, don't hesitate to pop a $10 dollar note in the donation box at the counter.
There are bookshelves stocked with books of different designing categories ranging from interior design to graphic illustration.

Quaint, quiet, and unassuming little tea room that's donation based! Each tea also comes with a little snack pairing. The shelves were also lined with lots of interesting books. Very thoughtful little place that I wish I could've spent more time in. They also had wifi, which was great for squeezing in a little bit of work in a relaxing and inspiring ambience.

Our second visit to Looksee Looksee, this time revived by the article on it in the New York Times. Had the spearmint tea and was served by the loveliest (tea) barista, Alice. Super warm & friendly, really giving of her time and really passionate about tea. Aesthetics aside, it was really nice to just spend a quiet afternoon browsing through the mags & chatting to her about tea culture. You never really get that anymore — staff who make time to educate you about little rituals of tea & have a real, human exchange. Most places just want to serve you & get you out the door but not Looksee, or not Alice at least. She’s a gem. Will be back for sure.

I’m wondering why this place have such a high rating when what me and my friend experienced today was the total opposite. Upon entering the shop, where I was the only customer, no greeting whatsoever. 2 staff members were quite busy having a meeting. (What is more important, meeting or even just acknowledging the arrival of a customer?) Then, when we ordered our teas, the staff said if we could wait a while for our teas because They were having a meeting (what?!?) They made us wait for our teas for 15-20 minutes when it couldve just taken her 5-10min max to brew and serve the tea altogether. I really don’t get it. They were sat there talking, not really doing anything and we were only two people there!! It gets better, upon serving the tea, the staff had the audacity to tell us to lower down our voices as there were other people having a meeting as well. (tone of our voice were quite normal actually, albeit the occasional lol) Well!!! I didn’t know we were in a conference hall or something! It’s a pretty place but service cold. Lacking. Staff was not rude or anything but there are some things that can be done a little differently. NOT recommending this place.

It’s a very cool tea house! This was the first location we went after we checked-in the hotel, right before we walked into Looksee Looksee, my hubby found that his phone had been left on the car. We were entering the shop in a very bad mood, but Alice, the shop in-charge, was very helpful. She helped us to call and send email to “Grab” using her own contact info(because we do not have a local phone number), trying to get us in touch with the driver. Finally we got our phone back with the help from Alice!
Great place, great tea and great people.

I love the concept! They have areally unique concept for customers. They don’t have a pricelist for their menu and let us to pay whatever we want and the pairing is great dor every. And yes they take their tea very seriously. This place also have a bunch of good books you can enjoy while you sipping your tea here.

LOVE LOVE LOVE the concept of this place. I went there trying to do work but noticed that they didn't have wifi nor plugs, I would go back again just to read though. They provide you brewed tea where you pay by donation, and there are lots of books around for you to relax and read. Very tranquil environment.
