Value for money and perfect for a casual lunch. I found the dishes and set meals well priced. I order a 2 pax set meal at $28.80 (before taxes) that included
1) a curry fish head that came with a generous amount of fish, long beans, eggplant and tofu puffs. It was nicely presented in a claypot and kept warm throughout the meal over a flame
2) a plate of stir fried broccoli. The vegetable was cooked well with garlic and retained a good crunch
3) a ‘Chai Poh’ omelette was well cooked. It was flavourful, only a tad dry
The meal was overall satisfactory and I’d definitely return. The portion was generous and I’d recommend patty of 3 if all are small eaters.

Snuggled in a distant part of Singapore at Hill view..walking distance to Hill view MRT, cosy and comfortable air conditioned with affordable portions of tzechar halal food for large group dinner. Fish dishes taste good!

Nice cosy Halal TzeChar. Good spread of dishes across categories like seafood, poultry, vegetables, noodles, rice, dessert and hot/cold drinks.
Assam curry fish, black bee hoon with slipper lobster, ladies fingers are recommended. Did not have a chance to try the Kang Kong with cuttlefish.
Service was good even though the plave was full. Reservations recommended!!

A cozy unassuming neighbourhood eatery serving local favorites. The food was tasty and decent portions. Had the sweet and sour fish, sambal kangkong and tofu. Very happy with what we got. Family friendly and reasonably priced. Give it a go if you are in the area.
Update: Food was good as usual but the decision to not serve customers tap water and to charge for bottled water is ridiculous. The management should seriously consider the poor customer experience it creates. Especially, if you rely on regular customers for your business

quite good for gathering. Highly recommend clay pot chicken, so tasty

First dinner order and collect at Jiak. Quantity ordered is sufficient for 5pax. However, the taste is too blend for us and less flavourful. Only Tzechar closest to Hillview and Dairy Farm area.

I had lunch at jiak today and tabao the leftovers home, namely dry fried beef horfun, mee goreng and claypot fried chicken. I reheated it for dinner and guess what I found? It is either a bug or a cockroach, someone please tell me what this is. I have lost all my appetite after seeing this. Honestly their dishes are decently cooked. But this, this is definitely going to SFA. I’m sorry, I support local F&B establishments but I will not tolerate the lack of hygiene when it comes to food handling. Note, this could NEVER be planted by me cos obviously it’s entirely covered by the batter.. I’m speechless.

Rude male staff at the entrance talking in commanding tone not tactful to answer guests. Food is average Curry fish head meet our expectations 😋.

Best curry fish head I've tasted! Went down for lunch today, have to admit the fish head was fresh! The curry was also of the right consistency, not as watery as I expected. Best part was that the curry fish head was selling at a promotion price of $15! (Usual price I think $20+?) Other dishes we tried also good! Claypot golden chicken can't find anywhere else, chilli Lala like chilli crab, Thai style tofu. Will definitely come back for more cos good value for money too!

Excellent tzechar. Recommended. 2nd time trying and did not disappoint.

Probably the worst tzechar I've ever eaten.
1. Serve curry fish head without removing the scales??
2. Fish and vege were cooked separately, and the curry was just poured over
3. Claypot golden chicken - meat was so tough and overcooked!!
Worth the money? Definitely NOT

Before I start I'd like to refer you to look at jiak Google search review.. there is a rising list of complains about a certain male manager u have hired.
The food is great here.. but a certain male manager is really unprofessional. We have been patronizing this shop since their tables were empty. Never came across this manager before.
24/06/18 at 6pm+ we went in for dinner. I understand its a peak period.. however from the very beginning this male manager seem to be rushing us even telling us to come back once all family members have arrived.. it was a table for 6 and 3 of us were already there..
We insisted to be seated as the others were just 10mins away.
Ordered our food, all family members arrived, ordered more food and food was nearly done we ordered more drinks.
Shockingly the manager approached us hinted to us that there was someone waiting for a table outside.. since we had just ordered more drinks we waited for the drinks.. about 5mins after drinks were served the manager approached us again n told us there was another customer waiting for a table!!!!!
It's not like we were hogging your seats for 2-3hrs!!!! We were there for like 1hr+ only!!!
We have always have had a pleasant experience at this place with nice food and very friendly service since the days that the tables were all empty here, now that the tables are full, their approach to customers changed?..
it was the first time we saw this male manager there and it was an utterly disappointing unprofessional low standard service.. we are not the only ones complaining about this incapable manager. Pls look into it. I really will love to patronize your restaurant again because the food is fantastic..
but not with such and unpleasant service.
