Review Hiryu - Singapore

Nice and friendly ambience and absolutely delicious omasake served by Chef Raymond! Definitely will be back for the wonderful experience. Electrifying palate experience!

A really good place to amp up the typical Omakase experience. Everything and every dish is so decadent. Shavings of truffle and gold dust, Uni everywhere. The fish was very fresh as well. That rice bento box was filled with every possible indulgence. It was only after that I found out the place is run by a local chef. I would say that the creations were progressive and modern. The chef is not bashful when using expensive ingredients. Of course the meal is not gonna be cheap so hold on to your wallets.

Had a splendid birthday celebration here in Hiryu. Outstanding quality food and personable service (special thanks to the chefs and Vincent). I tried the Ryu Omakase ($188++), while hubs got the ala carte dishes, deets in the pics. Trust me, the whole experience is worth every dollar here. Highly recommended 👍

First time here and ordered the Hiryu omakase. Definitely of good standard. Started off with shirako which is very creamy and not fishy at all. A lot of dishes with uni, caviar and gold flakes. Most of the sushi had very rich and umami taste. Was especially impressed with their chutoro sushi which literally melts in the mouth. One of my favourite is that toro+uni on toast and the flounder (the sauce on top complements extremely well). I had the wagyu rice as mains which has a very rich taste with uni and more foie gras while the abalone is very well prepared. I would however point out that in the pursuit of flavour and rich ingredients, some of the natural taste of the fish and seafood was covered or overpowered - a bit of a shame on that point. All in all, recommend to come at least once to try. Great service, keep it up. 👍

The sushi rice (using red vinegar) In my opinion was pretty good. The neta used for sushi were pretty good as well. However it's the usual suspects such as prawn, scallop, engawa which are not exactly premium ingredients. Would have perfect if more shiromi fish was used. I would say it's pricey $188++ for the omakase offering but execution was pretty good.

Hiryu always delivers. Chef Raymond and his team are very hospitable. Food is superb too. Been here a few times and every experience is memorable.

Ordered the Hiryu Omakase, service was top notch and overall very fast compared to other Omakase I’ve had (finished in exactly 1 hour 45 min). Had a lot of stuff that I quite like, but don’t necessarily expect when eating Japanese (foie gras, truffle, etc). The gold felt a little unnecessary, maybe there just to justify the price. Overall positive experience but no likely to be a repeat customer.

No dine-in period, so we ordered their special omakase set and the normal chirashi. Everything tasted great! Plenty of variety in well-presented bento boxes. The freshness of the ingredients taste like we are having it in Japan! The bento boxes were really packed and beautiful. Made a perfect b-day present for my hubby. Their website is easy to use too. No hassle.
