The skin is flaky and crispy but the flavours are not obvious enough. Many flavours to choose from. Our favourite is the pineapple.

House of Tau Sar Piah has been serving us with yummy Chinese goodies for many years.
They have sweet, salty and many other flavours to cater to your liking. They also have tau sar piah that are catered to the vegetarians as well. These Chinese Tau Sar Piah are prepared with fresh ingredients that suits our tastebuds.
It's a snack that will not go out of fashion for many who likes it.
It's located opposite Zhongshan Mall.

Went here on a Sunday with high hopes after reading all the good reviews. Was utterly disappointed with everything I bought:
8 x salted tau sar peah - oily and not fresh, soft crust and nothing special on the wet type of salted filling. Long Fatt is way better for this type. I was expecting more of the dry type of filling that the shop people said they are, sadly they are not. Going to throw all these. NOT EDIBLE COS NOT WORTH THE CALORIES. Would go for the 603 tau sar peah next time for the dry filling.
1 x sweet tau sar peah - crust is slightly better than the salted cos more crisp but again, nothing special; and
1 x pineapple - same lousy crust like the salted tau sar peah. Illig is same like normal pineapple tart, weird to have it in tau sar peah form with so much sweetness. Throwing after a bite.

Bought the Japanese Bento-looking packaging with 12 individually packed TSP for my aunt for Mother's Day Gift. And she luvs the Yam and Salty one a lot. Love the flakiness skin. Personally, I like their Pineapple one as its not as greasy as the rest in the market. Healthier choice. Love it! Highly recommend them anytime.

Although I still enjoy the original (sweet) flavour the most, the different flavours are definitely interesting and worth a try. Toast them before eating to bring out the flavours and aroma of the pastry.

Have been patronising this Tau Sar Piah store for many years. Mainly the salty and sweet one. Few months back, bought it feel that quality drop. Thought is once off. Bought yesterday again and it got worse. The skin is not flaky to the point that is hard and tough. Not sure if any management change. Oh, and the paper box just disintegrate too, did not glue well at the side.

Nice Flaky Pastries.
Amazing pastries and authentic flavour. When I bit into the pastry I could see the flakiness and crispness. It felt so fresh even though I bought a day ago. It had an authentic flavour to it. The fillings were amazingly tender and soft. They were filled with flavour. The yam flavour, surprisingly, was my favourite due to the balanced sweetness and flaky shell. It wasn’t overwhelming in flavour or sweetness. It was neutral. I enjoyed the red bean and pineapple flavours too.
As someone who was newly introduced to this, I must say I am incredibly impressed by the crispness, the tender filling and freshness this product has maintained. It made me like Yam! Which is honestly a huge accomplishment.
Good place, please visit it soon. Let me tell you, you will not be disappointed with what this place offers.
