Not very much of a favourite. But it's our first try in Jack's place Restaurants. Honestly, will prefer somewhere else like "Ast' or Col's" for western cuisine. No offence it was quite costly for me as for a basic top up $6.8 for drinks/soup of the day. End up paying $30 for a set meal and not much of the amazing taste. The presentation of the food and the atmosphere are not as cosy as I imagine. A decent western cuisine with an average taste rating 5/10.
Ordered: Grilled Salmon and Striploin Steak with Soup of the day.

Had the Peppery Rosemary Steak for the first time. Ordered it medium rare as usual for all my steaks, and was pleasantly surprised at how well seasoned it was. There were hints of the rosemary and also slight char. Mango cake was great as well. Felt that even though there was a crowd, they made the effort to cook the food properly. Escargots were great as well, with generous servings of the fried garlic chips.

Ordered the Thursday set lunch. Value for price.
$17 for Sirloin streak set, include a drink, soup and dessert. Streak was quite well cooked
$9.90 for teriyaki chicken with brown rice, include a aloe drink.
Rice was hard, seems not enough water to cook the brown rice
Chicken was OK
Special compliment on the boiled egg.. was soft inside and yummy!
The utensils was not too clean for some.. hopefully the branch mgr will note and improve on this

Presentation looks good. Rib Eye steak is too dry. Dinner menu not much options. Staff service is not good. The cashier asked for feedback on food quality, i gave a candid reply that it is not good, I repeated a few times. She literally avoid eye contact and didn’t acknowledge. If a candid feedback is not acceptable, why ask ? Feedbacks are meant for improvements isn’t it?

A wonderful catch-up of school mates and sharing the joy of the “newly minted” Grandfather Juan Kiat.
The choice of Jack’s Place @ NEX was excellent as the Mall is served by the MRT and Bus Hub making it conveniently accessible to us retirees.
Jack’s Place even had discounts for Seniors for their selected set lunches. Three of us had the Grilled Barramundi while one had the Beef Steak.
I liked the Grilled Fish with the baked potato (topped with sour cream, bacon and spring onions) and fresh vegetables salad. The apricot sauce for the fish gave a little sweet aftertaste.
The meal was very filling for me. Had to take a 20 minutes walk around the Mall to help with my digestion before heading home.

Just had dinner here with friends and impressed by the service of all the staff who were attentive, patient when our online orders had issues, went extra mile to help refrigerate our home baked cakes & took photos for our gathering. Thumbs up for service!
Food wise: Grilled salmon , seafood salad & lobster bisque were good, garlic bread a little soggy. Will come again to try other items on their menu.

Presentation of food is good . chicken tasted bland . ordering of food is all digitized , had a hard time figuring out how to order . Staff too busy to ask if we needed help . Aircon was not functioning properly
