Review The Good Beer Company - Singapore

CP
Situated at the corner of 313 Somerset is a cozy and modern beer joint. I passed by a few times and decided to have a drink on a breezy Sunday evening. The beer selection is good. The skewer and food is also great for a chillout evening before start of work week. Staff here are extremely friendly. Hope to see the 313@Somerset extension completed soon to experience a whole new vibe in this precinct.

Back here for the first time in a couple of years, and loved it! Now 27 beer taps (I counted them) and the yakitori is great, although it can take a little while for all the items to arrive. Staff are friendly, just wave if you need service rather than using the QR code. Great to hang out for a while, have a beer and people watch!

Very friendly, fast response, and helpful staffs and service! Love the vibe and happy hour until 8pm! More than 20 types of (draft) beer available! Seats are limited, food stop serving quite early like 8pm. Printed menu is outdated, scan the qr code on the table.

Lots of beers on tap but I don’t think all were available at the same time. Need to scan QR code to access types of beer and their prices in real time. These were also shown on two TV screens but the text were so tiny. Prices were on the high side even during Happy Hour (before 8pm, I think) but justifiable for the location (it’s Orchard!). Yakitori was pretty good but the fried skewers (only on Mondays) were quite bad. Staff was friendly and attentive. Good place to catch up with friends or people watch.

One of my favourite places. The beer is always fresh and I adore the yakitori though it can take some time to prepare. Windy and perfect if you like to people watch. Great happy hour deals too considering the location. One thing: service was kind of lacking this time - there was one guy who was the epitome of great service buzzing around but the rest of them were always ‘not looking our way’ if you know what I mean 🤦🏻‍♀️

Sorry I didn't get your name and shout-out to my guy for the service and candidness and allowing us to change our seats yesterday. Ordered the Mosaic Beer Jio and the lady ordered the Sapporo (why? ikr!). Skewers are tasty. I'm also pleasantly surprised Untappd app is used here. If only the beers could be less foamy. Amazing outdoor place when the weather is nice and not too warm. From your "regular customer". Cheers!

JiBiru means Beer Time! I think. Not Japanese but just a random guess based on my very touristy level Japanese. Not an air conditioned place but wasn’t warm on a typical afternoon. You can order and pay through the web. I had the katsu curry set lunch ($14.90) which came with a simple salad, miso soup and green tea (can choose iced or hot) and two small slices of watermelon. My companion had a Ten Don set lunch ($14.50). We shared two yakitori as sides, Tsukune (meatballs) and Yakiton (grilled pork) — $6.80 each. We enjoyed a refreshing Gweilo Lager ($8) as well! Overall, the food is decent though we both felt that the pork dishes were kinda chewy. So we may avoid that next time. Service was good, thank you. Our meal cost $60. We will be back to try more! 🍻

Awesome place to hangout with a good outdoor experience. Excellent selection of craft beers and Japanese food also delicious. Also, the staff here are very attentive! Truly my go to place…

The place where craft beer lovers from Singapore as well as visiting beer geeks converge. Special kegs are tapped ever so often, some not even available elsewhere in Singapore. Just want a regular beer? They've got fresh Sapporo on draft for a fraction of what you'd pay elsewhere. Come for the amazing beer and hawker food in a completely unpretentious environment, stay for the stellar company and unique vibe.

Great little spot. Not a huge selection, but I always find something new and interesting to try. A superb sea salt chocolate stout being a recent example. Always seems to have a good vibe. The lack of air-conditioning kills me (and means I have to drink my beer quickly!) but it's all part of the charm. :)

Top quality beers in a hawker environment, uniquely setting this place apart from the rest. Super friendly and knowledgeable staff. Amazing craft beer spot in SG.

Likely the best place for beer in Singapore! Daniel and the people running Smith Street Taps really know what they are doing, and the people drinking there are obviously beer connoisseurs. Prices are very good especially considering the quality of the beer.

Awesome place. Great beer selection.. even better staff. We had a couple of great nights sampling some of Smith Street Taps selection.. Cheers guys

Awesome stuff at none of the extra charges at bars. Craft beer ftw! Too bad I missed the twin evil stout. Thanks for providing me with a taste of it. I will come back soon. ;)

One of the few beer places in Singapore. Very small. But there are some good beer selections both on the tap and in the bottles.

Love it here!!! Whether as a tapper (we are pretty mad tappers!) or consumer, one thing's for sure: I am a huge supporter!!! A customer-convert to part-time staff, why? Cos SST has awesome beer & even "awesomer" company! You never quite drink alone or without friends when you are drinking at SST! The SST team is crazy FUN and the customers (many are regulars), FAB!

A great little find. Such a good selection of beers. An oasis of great international craft beer in a Singaporean desert of lack of options. From Weird Beard to siren Craft, from Omnipollo to Stone. So good. I'll be back.

A nexus of awesomeness in terms of beers, staff and clientele. Full disclosure: I consider Meng Chao and Daniel as well as the other tappers my friends. A night here can never go wrong.

Smith Street Taps does exactly what it says: serving great beers, on tap, in the heart of Chinatown. Some really unusual brews, including a bitter with an unpronounceable Japanese-sounding name. As a bonus, you sometimes get a stimulating socio-political discussion with a knowledgeable and irascibly charming host.
Agnes Tjan
Love their wide selection!!! And such good beers! My fav is the Pilsner.
Raveen Shahdadpuri
So. Just had the Rogue chocolate espresso stout [?] at the #singaporecoffeefestival ... Delish ! I'll be back again in Chinatown !

Nice spot, with plenty of seating and local food.

Unique veneu with the most interesting craft line up served by the master....hard to beat! Love this place.

Great beers and outstanding customer service.

Winner winner chicken dinner. Best place for craft beer in Singapore.
