I have been here many times!! Every time it’s so satisfying!.. Food was great!! Lady boss was fantastic.. service was also attentive!.. great food IS worth waiting for.. esp when it’s freshly prepared!!! I really do not understand why are many impatient customers complaining that they have to wait for 20-30min for FRESHLY prepared food!!.. it’s a bit ridiculous to be honest.. how some think you can whip up a table of food within half an hour.. so I just wait patiently for mine and guess what I have no regrets! Thank you again and again SBS

The food is just delicious. Must not miss the fish head, best of all. And of course not forgetting the watercress soup n the sambal belecan kangkong. These 3 dishes will make u crave for more. Have visited the place more than 10 times but i still prefer the old outlet at 287 Geylang Road. The food at 287 seems to be better.

Super good classic Cantonese home style dishes that would not disappoint. Prawn n tofu was came with super fresh jumbo prawn and silky soft fried tofu. The steamed pork with salted fish was another winner and they hand minced the pork which is super rare. The stir fry chicken with picked ginger is such a pleasant surprise. Great choice for a meal if you appreciate authentic Cantonese dishes with wok hei.

Lovely traditional cooking, the old outlet tasted slightly better, but it’s still good for me.

There are earlier reviews pertaining to overpricing. My take is you pay for the quality, which is one of the best Gu Lou Yok, I have ever savored thus far in Singapore. 5 stars for the Sweet and Sour Pork! Didn't feel overcharged due to the overall satisfaction for the meal.

The places still traditional and not so big. Quite busy during dinner time. Very unusual restaurant put waiting time during offpeak and peak on their wall.
Not much variety here, but most of the foods were nice.
My favourite were the steamed pork with salted fish. It is salty, but combine with hot steamed rice - it was perfectly balanced. Steamed fish head also yummy.
While the other just average.
Recommended to try.
