Update (second visit):
I've changed the rating from one star to a five star. Alter Ego invited us to dine at their establishment to redeem themselves and they did so very well! My friends and I were extremely impressed and pleased with the food. Not to mention the already outstanding service! They served us with smiles and made sure we had a pleasant experience. Thank you :)
This time we ordered Original Poke with less spice. The salmon was much much fresher and they took the initiative to pass us serving bowls. No stomach aches for us this time :) we had (very) crispy fish skin, pizza fries and the wagyu burger from the other menu. They were all very good and filling. We enjoyed them! Our favourite was the pizza fries, it was really quality melted cheese on top and not the cheap nacho kind. My friends enjoyed the housepour wines too and they were reasonably priced for the amount served.
Thank you for inviting us. From a "we're definitely not coming here again", we all agreed it has become a "yeah, let's eat here again!"

First Visit:
I had the Original Poke (I have no idea why mine tasted spicy, my friend's original poke was also spicy). Second friend had the Goddess vegan dish and she said the combination tasted weird with the kimchi. The quality wasn't good at all. Salmon wasn't fresh. It was mushy. Moreover, right after the meal I had really bad food poisoning. My friend who ate the same but didn't eat all the salmon had a bad stomach ache right after too. Additionally, my two friends bought gin, it had lime inside. They commented that it was very very bitter and diluted. Service was honestly decent but overall poor dining experience. It doesnt help that the food is served in relatively shallow bowls (hard to eat when your food is 2 times bigger and you're trying to mix) and the garnishes were flying around in the wind. 100% won't recommend. Disapponted because the sister store which we tried was really good and to our liking.
Great food and service.Loved the wide selection of beers that they have, and even on a busy night, service was on point. The Grilled Cheese really made my night, just oozing with deliciousness. The entire place had a really good vibe and the staff were really friendly. Overall, a great experience and will definitely be back again!
I went to this place with my colleague during lunchtime since it's pretty nearby. I had their poke bowl from the healthy option and my friend had the beef hot dog. Both are equally delicious!
The lunch set came with drinks and we also ordered dessert for extra $4.

My friends and I were there for dinner last week. Tables were reserved in advance the waiter served us promptly. Food was great and service was fast and efficient. Definitely a great place to hang out with friends till late!
My friends and I dined here after a run along the bay. The casual outside seating allows for a more relaxed atmosphere. We ordered the pizza fries - fries with pepperoni that were practically DRENCHED in delicious gooey melted cheese, an umami poke bowl - usual good stuff from APT and a grilled cheese sandwich - the photos don't lie the gruyere is heavenly. They do not stinge on the amount of cheese, which is a point I really cannot emphasize enough because OMG CHEEZ.
Anyway, will definitely be back. BOTH sinful and healthy food + by the bay + open till late at night = <3 <3 <3

Beautiful location, lovely venue, attentive staff who were very friendly. Service was outstanding as was the menu. Very surprised at the price as was expecting it to be more expensive! Our dishes were served promptly and were absolutely delicious. I would highly recommended Alter Ego to anyone contemplating visiting. Superb - 10 out of 10 �
Great location with nice ambience! Went on a Friday for lunch. They have lunch set for 15bucks that comes with hot or iced coffee. I was amazed that the coffee's really good! (Im fussy with my coffee) my gf had umami omega and i had chilli cheese dog. We had a hard time choosing what to eat as everything on the menu looked so good! We'll definitely come back again for more lunch dates at alter ego �
� One of the best around; sashimi was fresh and there was a wide variety of complementing ingredients which made it flavourful yet not overwhelming. The portion was just right and it was also aesthetically pleasing being rainbow coloured!
Had an amazing brunch with my poké bowl and matcha thickshake today. Thank you for opening over the holiday weekend. Will be back for more food. :)
Good ambiance, good food and amazing view, perfect place to relax with family and friends: Alter Ego. A gastobar, cafe at day and bar at night. They have wide varieties food and drinks to choose, from pizza, pasta to platter and many types of alcohol.

Chillax with a lovely view at Alter Ego! Perfect for gatherings or a meal out with the family. With a wide range of varieties on the menu, definitely something for everyone! The 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝘄𝗻 𝗔𝗴𝗹𝗶𝗼 𝗢𝗹𝗶𝗼 & 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗢𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗼𝗸𝗲 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗿 are my favourite! The salmon and ingredients in the poke bowl were very fresh. Must try for those who love sashimi! 👍🏼
Chanced upon this cafe when we walked arounf Esplanade area and we decided to go in and try. We ordered a few dishes for the 4 of us and the portion is really a lot. We love the taste of each of the dish and their dessert. This is a good place to chill with family and friends, highly recommend.
The service is excellent. We are being served by Anna. She is very professional, friendly and helpful.
We order the Mix Grill (Seafood + Meat) and it is among the best that we have eaten. The brownie was creatively served with a candle as Anna knew that we went to Alter Ego to celebrate a birthday.
We have a very pleasant and wonderful time at Alter Ego. Creating Memories.

Alter Ego is a gastrobar situated in Esplanade Drive facing the Marina Bay offering a wide array of food menu and full fledged bar. Food ranges from healthy Poke Bowls, to pastas and local bar delights. The place transforms into a chic bar during the night, making this the perfect place to wind down after a long day at work!
I had the:

> Bacon Pizza
> Summer Sake Sangria
> Original Poke Shaker
> Umami Omega
Special shoutout to the poke bowls which was yummy and best of all, guilt free, which makes me feel slightly better when I'm feasting on the fries and pizza on the side 😂 I had the Original Poke and Umami Omega and tbh, the only difference here is the salmon, with the carbs base and rest of the ingredient being pretty much the same.
The Shrimp Gambas was pretty decent as well, with the prawns saute in buttery garlic and onions, served with salsa for a tangy contrast. Best part was that you can easily pull apart the prawns from its shell using cutleries so the dining experience pretty much remains fuss free!
The sangria here are really sweet and we’ve got to request for more ice to dilute it. That said, it was still a really good drink and the jug makes it perfect for sharing with the group!

Special mention goes to their Mix Grilled Seafood & Meat Platter, which features Marinated Grilled Salmon Fillet, Fish Fillet, Green Mussels, Chicken Fillet, Lamb Cutlets & Beef Steak! Taste so good when dipped into their sauces.
