Good vegetarian restaurant bit only accept cash. Chutneys are awesome but once I had packed lunch and they did not give chutney with meals even after I asked..
Always crowded and hard to find place to sit..
Not sure if Done+in has started or not after covid
Fascinating experience to eat here as an Non-Indian. Love the food, the people and the vibe! Portion is generous and free flow of rice and staple veg for the vegetarian set.
Go early morning around say 745am. Take your own plate, spoon and small bowl (for the sambar). They serve on coated brown paper. Idly and particularly medu vadai is good and hot. ....repeat ....go early morning. Coconut chutney is OK.....avoid the red chutney . Cost is very cheap.
Idli with getti chutney very nice, I so like that chutney , they never mix additional water,
We had evening Ginger Tea with Roasted Steam Groundnuts on 10.9.2021. Excellent taste and cheap. Starts around 4.30pm and finish by 6pm.
We accidentally hopped into this place one morning after peaceful visit to the
Sri Veeramakaliamman Temple. It is a typical eatery, nothing fancy serving south Indian food. There are some 5 to 6 tables only and we had to wait for 5 mins. We ordered masala dosa, tea and were surprised to see the dosa served on fresh banana leaf :D They give coconut and ginger chutneys and sambhar along with dosa; chutneys are tasty and not at all runny as you might get elsewhere!! And the dosa...........one bite and you know it's authentic dosa. Nothing special about the tea though.......infact I would skip the tea on my next visit so I can save some room for another dish :D
One of the favourite and best vegetarian restaurant in LittleIndia. Taste was amazing 😋
