Review Happy Crab - Singapore

La Madame NomNom
This is located in a coffeeshop. Service by the store owner Eddy was good. The size of the crabs not that big but it's tasty with belachan and chinchalok♡. We ordered 2 BBQ crabs and other tze char dishes like Hor Fan Wet, Kak Kuay and BBQ Stingray, it's tasted ok but no wok hei. Total $140 The drinks were sold by the other Indian store located in the same COFFEESHOP. They priced it very high!. Canned pineapple drinks $1.50 (ok) Freshly juiced pineapple juice when served to us, they initially quoted $6 per cup but after my friend gave a "huh?!?!", that guy said $5.😆😅 And a hot Teh O cost $3 😅

Randomly googled and found this place. Bought a $45 size crab to pack back to hotel room. Meat was chewy and fresh. So delicious yet simple cooking. Will be back for their other dishes.

I particularly like both of the crabs as well as the Indian food. The garlic naan is a must order Don’t order too much a time other wise it gets cool then it won’t taste as good. Curry- Mutton rangosh (forgot the spelling is also very tasty!)

I like the barbecue crabs mainly because I could taste the natural flavour of the meat. There are plastic gloves provided if you don't want your fingers to smell. We ordered some other dishes too but they turned cold after enjoying the crabs. I'll ask for them to be served later on my next visit. Service was good and food was delicious.

I must say this is one of the better seafood joints in Singapore. Though small with limited menu as compared to the more illustrious commercial names, the food is painstakingly well prepared. The crabs and squids that come with unami sauce are grilled to the right taste and texture(sqiuds). Their deep fried fish is as tasty. So is the hor fun. You are treated to putu piring, a dish hard to find nowadays. Round them up with teh tarik, teh halia, or teh masalah. Wonderful meal Oh, the highlight is the owner who's jovial and friend. I understand he used to be air steward during the msa(before split to sia, mas) days. Making customers happy must be in his blood.

We told them we have a birthday celebration today and they brought this crab out! They played the birthday song through their speaker and tries getting everyone at the shop (other customers) to join them with the bday song! Was such a moment of fun and laughter from everybody. Love the crabs here. The natural sweetness of the crab along with pulpy juicy white meat is done to perfection. The squid is really good and the deep fried pare pare fish is crispy to the bones (eat the whole fish up including its head and bones). Great service too by the uncles. A very homey and pleasant atmosphere. Love it here.

Good and delicious BBQ crabs. Place is quite popular with its unique style of seafood. BBQ crab is the top seller.

Awesome crab, it's like cold crab on BBQ. The meat is sweet and of course the roe is... sinful.. hahaha.. The fried fish was excellent as well. Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Boss was friendly and service oriented, I'll be back again.

Came here on this Sunday. Shocked. $80 for two of the smallest unfresh crab that no other crab place I know would serve. $10 for a cup of fried rice whereas they showed a big plate in the picture. The guys assured me that they were running Happy Crab this Sunday. From someone who has crab regularly this meal would have been half the price anywhere else. Singapore has too many other crab places that are better value for better food do not leave this bitter taste in your mouth. Don't waste your money and go to Eng Seng in Joo Chiat instead.

Ordered a plate of 2 small BBQ crab, asked for the price, lady boss i assumed she is, told me $40. Also a small BBQ squid at $15 each. When the bill came, it was $95, So each small crabby of around 350g is $40 each !!!! The price is way too high and she is misleading on the price. Beware to all new customers. Ask clearly before you order. One last thing, food is normal, at this price point, there are far far better and higher quality stuff in Singapore. Should rename the shop to Happy Boss instead..

It's not easy to find gd food coupled wih gd service under one roof these days. So when u do it's like striking the lottery. Modestly snuggled in a Kopitam in Pahang St this Happy Crab restaurant serves excellent food & is famously known for their signature crabs. Whether they are BBQ or chilled the crabs are meaty & firm in texure with yellow roe. Simply superb! The owners & servers are friendly & professional. Regular customers are referred to by their names which gives a personal touch & sets Happy Crab apart from the rest. A nice casual place to hang chill & eat with your family & friends. As the name suggests u definitely will be very happy with Happy Crab. We'll be back!

I went this place for a few times and introduce to my foreign friends. So far, we are so happy to eat the grilled crabs, sambal fried rice, lala and kailan. The prices are economical and the staffs are friendly too.

I usually give them 5 Stars but this tune the food came out a bit out of order and very slow. If it was my first time I would have given them a lower score but I’ve been coming to them for years and the food is always excellent. Worth the money. But they need to recalibrate the order it comes out and the timing. Which I trust they can do.

Best tasting crab roe and meat around the region. My well travelled friend who entertains business clients all over SEA repeat visits to eat this $50.00 deep sea sand crab. I am grateful to be invited along to make up the numbers. I have no complains.

I would have given a 5 if not for the delay in serving of seafood bee hoon. Waited for almost an hr after I "completed" the rest of dishes. Nonetheless the service is excellence and the boss did explained that they had only one chef in the kitchen. The crab is superb. Vast different from those traditional chilli or pepper crab. Must try and i will surely come back again..
