Review Hi Joyful - Singapore

Spicy chicken is tasty, sweet and sour pork is good. Finally their main signature seafood platter, you have to be very careful when choosing your level of spiciness. Do not believe when the staff told you is mild spicy like the mistake we did, you must make sure you really can handle spicy food. A good place for gathering with your friends and colleagues.

The food is definitely not worth. The reason to be here should be for karaoke, take photos or share small finger food. The funny part is big patter but you need to be patient to peal the shell food. They do provide gloves, clothing napkin, tissues and other things to keep you tidy but I still think it’s rather messy after the food. Definitely a place for younger generation.

We ordered 2x pot for 2-4pax for 6 pax. It was great, though we didn't finish the noodles at the end. We enjoyed the 鲜椒 flavor. It was spicy but prob not as spicy as 麻辣! If you are thinking of ordering rice or noodle, there are noodles hidden underneath the seafood! We personally felt the milk tea in baby milk bottle abit overrated and expensive at $8.50 each. Service and ambience were good. They provide gloves, bib, dry n wet tissue! We did find the plc dark but it is supposed to be a combination of ktv pub plus diner. :) So feel free to go sing a few songs after food!

Love the food and drinks in bulb and milk bottles. The seafood platter was plentiful and fresh! A tad pricey though but was a good experience overall. There's a 3rd floor open karaoke if you're into it. 😉

Solid place for seafood boil. It was really taste and cooked perfectly. Wouldn't change anything about it. The service was also good!

I'd advise you to avoid this spot. My wife and I went here for lunch and ordered the crab. The waiter aggressively up-sold the steam buns. We explained to him that I have a wheat allergy, however, he insisted they were made from corn not wheat. Corn steam buns seemed interesting so I ordered them. Of course when they arrived they were wheat. We ordered steamed rice as well which only came out after a few reminders. At the end of the meal they brought our check and informed us it was cash only despite the big Visa/Master Card logo on the doorway and the American Express logo on the check. We explained we did not have any cash and they should have explained this before we ordered. We were marched a few hundred meters to the nearest ATM to withdraw funds. The icing on the cake was a S$2 charge for chopsticks which we did not order. After being lied to about allergy related ingredients and the march to the ATM I don't think I'll be going back here.

Seafood with impressive presentation. There is karaoke area on level 3, sit there only if you plan to sing karaoke in public, else when guests at your neighbouring tables start singing, it will be very loud and you cannot hear anything from your own table.

This meal was more than enough for our party of 4. It was a nice twist on the traditional crab pot I am use to in the USA. The soup and noodles were surprisingly great. Worth the money! The free wifi and air conditioning were a huge pluss too.
