Frankly I was excited to try this place because the Japanese restaurants in this area are generally really good. However I was sorely disappointed with this restaurant as the freshness of the fish was only passable despite this place serving omakase. The food was bad and the service staff did not seem to be well-trained. Of the 3 items ordered, 2 were recommendations of the restaurant, namely the unagi sashimi bento set and the chawanmushi. The tuna sashimi was a little fishy and the fish sashimi was not cleanly cut. The chocolate cake dessert was good but the umeshu jelly had a weird stench. When I questioned the staff, the guy remarked to the kitchen that it did indeed smell a little off, but surprisingly came out and told me it was the way it's supposed to be (FYI I love umeshu and its various interpretations in food). As for the unagi, it tasted like it was simply reheated. The chawanmushi on the other hand had a giant shrimp in it, but that was the only surprise. It lacked flavour overall. The tempura maki takes the cake however. It was one of the worst rolled sushi I have ever seen. The roll was so loose it fell apart when I picked it up and there was even a gap in one of the rolls where rice should have been. I have made better rolls than that and I'm not even a chef. I asked the waitress if this was their usual standard and she said yes, it is normally like that. She fed back to the chef but nothing came out of it except to repeat to me that this was the standard. If not for the 50% eatigo discount, it definitely would have been a solid 0 stars as the food was quite pricey, yet there were no attempts at taking any customer advice or offering any form of consolation.

Medium size restaurant at the corner of Robertson walk. Love it that we can have lunch peacefully when it's not too crowded. We had the Omakase sgd80 and it was pretty good.

We ordered the sashimi sushi bento. Sashimi was thick and fresh, while the sushi could be better. Experience was spoilt by the rubber band found in the bento box. Service staff gave insincere apology and said that she will feedback to chef. There was no follow-up.

Dined on weekday lunch and had the Uni Don and Chirashi Don. Uni was fresh and creamy. Thick slices of fish in the Chirashi. A good mid-priced Japanese restaurant.

The place is located at Robertson Walk next to Wine Connection facing UE Square. Lookout for the wooden door that leads into the restaurant. It is rather small so I would recommend making reservations. I would also recommend sitting at the Sushi bar for a more exciting experience watching the chef at work. Unless of course you prefer privacy, there are also tables tucked away at the corner.
The food is good though I feel the portions could be slightly bigger. We had their Chirashi dons which comes with Salmon, Tuna, Snapper, Yellowtail, Tamago and one other Sashimi. There were also some flowers and herbs in the don which the chef explained that it could be eaten with the Sashimi. The chef showed great knowledge in the cuisine and ingredients. They also have Omakase for those looking for a surprise.
Overall an authentic Japanese experience. Do make your reservations early to avoid disappointment.

Food was good and reasonable for what it is (sashimi or tempura lunch sets for about $20-25) but if you want to use your entertainer voucher here, make sure you call ahead to notify them because they only take 5 vouchers a day and only for dinner! Wish this was said in their t&c on the App to avoid the unpleasant experience.

I had the $60 omakase sushi and sashimi lunch. It was just ok. The fish tasted fresh but was all too chilled so there wasn't much flavour. Benton box lunch for less than $30 would have been better.

We felt service turned a little cold when they learned that we were using the Entertainer App. We ordered two bento sets and for a set that is priced at $42 each orginally, disappointingly we got jasmine long grain rice instead of the Japanese short grain rice. Not sure if this is due to us utilising the 1-for-1 deal via the app. Upon finishing, they were quick to bring the bill even tho we were still chatting. The waitress called out to us 3 times to pay the bill. On the way out, the chef shouted "Adios!" (Spanish goodbye) which was unusual for a rather pricey Jap restaurant. Normally one would expect greetings in Japanese. Only credit was the sashimi was thick cut and fresh. Overall experience felt unprofessional.
