Disappointed with the $30 burger and $24 Reuben sandwich. See photos? Yeah. They even look sad. The home cured pastrami is sliced too thick, and is hard to chew. The burger patties are utterly bland, even if they are juicy. We had to resort to the tiny salt sachets (no shakers, sorry). Even the fried Camembert is flavourless. Maybe we picked all misses. Service? Lacklustre. Pity. We liked the cosy ambiance but we will never come back. I’m really not sure how this place earned this many reviews.

My experience at Burger bar New York was comforting. I went there by myself and got the Bacon Cheeseburger with a side of Cheese fries. The cheese fries are good, but eat them while it is hot or else the cheese solidifies. Also, if you are planning to get the sides, don't go alone as the portion is meant for sharing.
As for the burger, it wasn't greasy but juicy. There's so much juice that the wrapper wasn't able to sustain, resulting it to flow out and cause a mess. Luckily, they gave me a lot of serviettes and managed to avoid the mess. I agree with the other reviewers that the burger is not the best burger I had and may be a bit under-seasoned for its price. Personally, I was hoping for a richer flavour of spices and all. Other than that, it was a good experience and the burger is served fresh.
Of course, if you are here, give their beers a try as they have an amazing selection of beers for you to choose from. If you are unsure, just ask them to recommend as the staff is rather friendly and helpful.

Back here after 2yrs and it seemed less crowded at 1215pm compared to what I remember. The order process changed slightly with the cashier at the bar and the food delivered to our table/counter. I'm good with that as it's more convenient.
Bacon Cheese Burger (medium doneness) was light on taste and could have used a little more zing in the sauce. But the juicy patty got us down 'n' durty for sure!
Bacon cheese fries with sriracha sauce and sliced jalapeño peppers were wonderful but a tad bit much for 2 regular eaters after a burger and soft drink each.
Good options of craft beers to try. Not a place for wine-drinkers.
Overall, still a good place to hang out with friends but the prices need to come down! I don't think the burgers are worth the >$20 price tags anymore. 3.5 stars if the rating system allowed for it.

Came here for the burgers but left absolutely gobsmacked by the Reuben sandwich
Juicy 1/2lbs pastrami served in thick and soft rye bread, smeared with mustard no less, and topped with tangy sauerkraut and funky melted Swiss cheese. This is definitely one of the best Reuben sandwich I've ever tasted, in Singapore no less.

Burger bar new york was decent. The ambiance was amazing, and there was a wide range of burgers, add ons and drinks and booze to order. The cheese fries were delicious, but definitely got to eat them fresh out, otherwise the cheese will coagulate and might be tough to eat.
I got the double cheese burger, and it wasn’t the best burger I’ve had. The patties were generously thick, but it was rather bland, and almost tasted quite unseasoned and did not bring out the beefy flavour I was looking for in a burger. Still a worthy try!

Service wasn’t great. I arrived 5mins early for my reservation only to be told to wait because “there’s still 5mins.”
Ordered the buttermilk burger and the bacon cheeseburger. It’s sad that both were expensive and lacklustre. MacD has better burgers (especially the buttermilk burger) for half the price.
Onion rings were ok but they were $10 lol.
Milkshake was the best out of the lot but I reckon you can get better ones at shake shack. 100% would not return!

Love the cheese burger, cheese bacon burgers and Reuben Pastrami! A tad pricey but super yummy. Patties were juicy. Would go again. Love the milkshakes too

Nice place to hangout with friends. First 2 shots are fr 2nd trip, first try was the best (last pics), pastrami are suppose to be juicy but 2nd time was dry 🤷♀️ need consistency though…

Burger Joint is the single best place in Singapore to grab good food and good beer. The burger is consistently good and the beer list is among the best if not the best in Singapore. The owners are passionate, friendly and generous. Seconds away from an MRT station and in a beautiful district, this place is not to be missed.

This is the 10th time I am having a burger at Burger Joint, and I have been trying a lot of other burgers around Singapore as well.
I won't comment on the size and price of the burger, because plenty of other people have already mentioned that.
I won't comment about the bun choice, because after so many Burgers, I honestly can't tell the difference in a blind taste test.
Appearance wise, the burger does not look neat or Instagram worthy.
Here's what I think about the burger patty itself:
The Burger Joint beef patty had the least number of pieces of gristle among all the beef patties I tried in the various burger establishments in Singapore. Actually, in most, if not all of the 10 burger patties I tried at Burger Joint, I could hardly detect any gristle.
I always order my patty medium rare. Based on that, the burger patties I've tried have a medium char on the crust with a right amount of moisture in the middle. The patty felt loose enough and not overly compressed, yet held well together and didn't crumble partway through eating the burger.
I appreciate the choice of condiments used to season the beef patty (or lack thereof) because it doesn't leave me with (what we call in Singapore) a "jelak" feeling towards the end of the burger. In the same vein, the Burger Joint patty also does not feel as rich and fatty as some other burgers in Singapore. This is of course a matter of personal taste.

I honestly wouldn't mind shelling out good money for a good burger, but the food here is definitely overpriced.
A burger without fries and drinks for $18+? A small packet of fries at 5.50? Or a milkshake at $11.80?
And like many others, I do not understand why a service charge was levied when I had to walk to the counter to order my food and clear my own trash after I was done with my food. Yes, the staff did deliver my food to me but I'd much rather the company remove the service charge and make customers collect their own food since they have to order it at the counter on their own anyway.

Great burger! Not the cheapest, but worth it. Loved the decor, or lack of it � no fancy window displays, in fact you wouldn’t know it was there unless looking for it. Would recommend.

Cheese Burger was awesome. The medium done beef patty was juicy. We waited for 25 mins for our burgers to be ready for collection from the counter. So if you are in a hurry this place might not be the best place to lunch.

Thought gave this place a try... the decor definitely is a burger joint... but overpriced. Over $30 for cheeseburger, fries and a coke... hmm. No complains about the meat, nicely cooked but the buns were not toasted or warm. And the small bag of shoestring fries, for $5 �. Au revoir.

Burgers are okay but don't taste great compared to other burger places in Singapore. Beer selection (18 crafts on tap) is decent, but quite pricey compared to Smith Street taps for example.

The least I expect of a very pricey burger with no fries is great taste but Burger Joint disappoints greatly. Besides, we ordered one to be cooked Medium Well and one Medium - both came cooked the same way. What's the point of asking about doneness then?

When you have one job, and it's to serve burgers and you fail at that...should you be in business? If you've run out of the only vegetarian option on the menu by 8.30pm you probably need to review your stock procedure... telling people that they can have the burger bun, tomatoes and lettuce isn't really a viable option, who the fuck is going to pay for bread and lettuce when they went for a burger...
