The place was pretty busy when we go there. Seated swiftly with ordering instructions provided.
The pork belly rice bowl was very good. Not over the top oily or salty. It was seasoned well abs well balanced.
The aglio was also well seasoned and cooked perfectly.
The place seems like a well oiled machine from service to food.

One of the cafe pioneers around. Had the salmon soba and chicken with rice and broth (forgot the name). Both tasted very comforting with local flavours. Very nice and simple. As usual, bottled mocha was good.

Foods taste are good, portion are reasonable with a slightly higher pricing. Service are OK too. All are above average and will be back to try other dishes.

No crowds during weekday lunch hour. Many seats are available in this cafe. The table is big and some seats have charging points here. Food and drink is good too! Shakshuka is full of tomatoes and packed with garlic. Salmon soba is coated in sweet sauce teriyaki sauce that has a hint of citrus flavour to it. Chicken chazuke dashi comes in a glass sake bottle that is very hot. Do let the bottle cool a bit before pouring it into the rice. Dashi has a light umami flavour and it goes really well with the rice. Great to chill with chill music. Overall enjoyed the food and ambience of the place. Will be back to try out other dishes!

Good food and extensive menu. Do try their salmon rosti. Rosti was crispy and slightly burnt which I like. Fish & chips were ok and feels like it is slightly over fried. Coffee was not strong enough for me. Tried both their hot white & oat cold brew. Perhaps should consider using a stronger blend.

Breakfast plate is overpriced considering its use of low quality ingredients. The chorizo was unbelievably dry and overcooked while the slice of sourdough bread was so stale and hard. The only nice thing on the plate was the eggs. We also had Mac and cheese which was bland and had tomatoes in them, an in-cohesive dish thru and thru. The bacon and kimchi burger tasted ok flavour wise but the patty was really dry and unappealing. Added $3.2 for the fries which was not fresh and tasted like it was drowned in rancid oil. Matcha milk was diluted and tasted cheap for that price point. Hot matcha latte is much better in comparison but matcha powder was not well blended, leaving chunks of powder in your mouth as you sip. The dark cocoa milk tasted just like Meiji milk. We had high hopes before visiting but it was surely one of the most disappointing cafe food experience ever

Amazing place for brunch. The food was delicious, made fresh and prepared wonderfully. Portions were also nice.
Love the ambience and the service was great too.

This place is super cosy and has an open concept kitchen as well and the smell is hooooo
Ordered the Muesli bowl. Crunchy almonds and muesli. Super refreshing with the Greek yoghurt $9.5
Ahi Tuna Salad $15
The salad was good as well. Tuna was fresh. But by the time you finished the muesli, already full.
Ordered others like:
1. Truffle fries 9.90
2. Basil Pistachio Pesto Spaghetti $16.50 really good as well
3. Smoked salmon rosti $17.9 if you like rosti, must try.
4. Maple bacon mac and cheese $16.50 comes in a hot bowl.
5. Kombucha! no sugar organic kind. Tried the ginger which was great!

The food was on point both times I'd gone there. The salmon in the "salmon and soba" was seasoned and cooked right - crispy outside and rightly flavourful. And if you love natural light, space and of course, good service, don't miss trying this place. The dark cocoa and cold matcha milk are really good alternatives for non drinkers of coffee. Definitely like the decor. However, lunch hour was packed hence serving food is slow. Should try to think how to serve food fast during peak hours.

Definitely like the decor... the bottled macha was smooth and tasty. For a place that didn’t have so many patrons when we visited, they surely took a tad too long to prepare �... even noticed our order sitting on the table waiting to be collected... took a while and ended up I went to collect myself. Challenging when having an open kitchen and don’t see the urgency and speed.

Newly opened sister restaurant of the nearby Old Hen Coffee Bar. Menu is short, but interesting, with beautifully plated Instagram-ready dishes. The fish and chips were very good but Old Hen's highlight however is still their signature cold brew coffee, tea and cocoa.
