Review Delhi Restaurant - Singapore

Great place to have authentic North Indian food in Singapore. The place is managed by Raveena , a very courteous and welcoming person with his husband. The taste of food was great. Had my birthday dinner. Large variety of drinks and food is available. Must visit for Indian cuisine😀

This is not a food review. We visited the restaurant around 8 PM on a Saturday night just to exit the restaurant without wating food. 1. When entering the restaurant itself the lady at the counter told there would be around 30 mints delay. That is an appreciated gesture. 2. We asked for soup, they say they dont serve soup at night. 3. We thought okay we will go ahead with the starters and drinks. But we had ordered for 1 veg starter,2 non veg starters. Out of 3 items 2 items are not available and drinks that we asked for is also not available. Disappointed! No point is waiting for more time we just came out. Note : This can be case of just one day,and the review is purely based on 1 day experience.

Food is very good. But restaurant runs on very short staff. Only one female attendant for reception and serving. People are waiting for their orders for long time and there is no one to attend.

My son went to a new Indian eatery recently with friends and told us about it when he got home. He was singing praises for the food he had, especially the butter chicken, so it was only fitting the family gave it a try. We went over for lunch here. Parking the car was horrendous, but the moment we sat down, ordered our food and ate, all the parking frustrations left us. The staff were attentive and great at what they do. The food was the coup de grace for the meal. Everything they served was great, and trust me; we've had our fair share of Indian food! What I especially liked was the fact that we could taste the spice seasoning without being overwhelmed by it. The flavours were just right! It was a great meal for us!

It is cozy place , very silent when we went. Food was ok, ideal for medium spicy taste buds. Chicken pakoda was good. Chilli chicken a bit salty to my taste. So, overall it should satisfy most of the visitors.

Delicious North Indian food served consistently over the last 20 years. I’ve dined in and catered from this restaurant for my birthday party. Every guest I bring to the restaurant or taste the food at my home is amazed by how delicious North Indian cuisine can be. Prior to COVID 19, they used to be a popular food destination with the crew of a tier 1 European airline. The crew would pre-order a specific cashew based curry for their flight back home. Impressive. Must tries if it is your first time there: Chicken Malai Tikka, Cheese Kulcha, garlic naan, any briyani, palaak saag (chicken with creamed spinach), baingan bharta (mashed roasted eggplant), baingan bajardi (pardon the spelling. Fried eggplant with spices) and the Kashmiri naan, a sweet dessert naan stuffed with dried fruits used in fruit cake. Even fruit cake haters became fans of it. Sure, by all means, order the butter chicken which is also good. But do try the rogan josht or look for that dish with the cashew gravy (forgot the name). Service is good and the seating is comfortable. Do expect that the waiting time for food will be longer during peak hours or when you notice that there are several other tables that have not gotten their food. One pro-tip is to place your order upfront to avoid delays from the kitchen.

A good compact vegetarian restaurant in Singapore. Excellent customer service 😊 Wide variety of dosa, paratha and many more. Kindly visit and must reccomended. Poori, chapathi, Meals, coffee are my favourite from vels curry 😊 Thanks :)

Service is good. I would prefer outside tables than the inside ones. Food preparation can be better. We were treated warmly but chef can do a better job. Items used in cooking to be fresh so as to give a better taste. Thank you!!

Took too long to take order even through iPad and when wanted to order the main course, had to wait long to get the iPad. Food is fine but not up to the standards. Was served more of a Jalfrezi modified form on platter in the name of sizzler when was expecting the real tandoor thing. Got half cooked food for main course and so left more than half food. Could not eat at all. After that too the lady at the cash counter had a ‘what can I do in this’ attitude. I recommend restaurants to visit on websites like trip adviser and lonely planet, but sad to mention I wouldn’t be able to give a good review there. Really disappointed! Ignorance and Bad service was highlighted.

The quality of the food was poor and it was expensive......would not eat there again and advise people to look around Little India because there are many better and cheaper places to choose

Went for dessert. Took Long for placing order but that's fine. Even longer for readymade desserts to be served. Still ok. But out came the mango kulfi - terrible presentation to start off with. Looked extremely sloppy. Then the taste was just disgusting. It was rough, sandy texture - thick like toothpaste and taste was so bad that it was months old. The gulab jamun was rubber-ey and stale. The only good thing was the coke we ordered. No apologies from server or owner who acknowledged that the complaint wasn't first time. First and last visit to Delhi restaurant

This really is an outstanding Indian restaurant, and Singapore has many to choose from... I wish they had a branch in Tokyo!

Well one of the worst restaurants I've ever been to. Service was sick. Food was all chilled. Nearly 30mins to take the order and 60 mins to place it ! Would never ever go back !

Delhi restaurant was the only option available, the only reason we visited here. Ordered roti with kadhai paneer. Gravy was decent. But wasn't fresh. Masala kulcha along with it was our savior.

Fresh lime soda could have been avoided.

We saw a rat inside it as the kitchen didn't look clean we were exiting. Awful.

The food is below average and their service is terrible. They still force you to pay a 10% service charge.

Trip to Singapore!

Talking about this restaurant gives me the feeling of utmost satisfaction. Beginning our day with resto's 'Masala Tea' and Indian Omelette was the best part of our trip!

- [ ] This restaurant which is located in Little India, truly justifies it's name! The food here gives you the pleasure that one seeks everywhere. This place epitomizes the authentic Indian culture in which people speak politely and manifest affection.
- [ ]
People here are so affectionate, caring and loving that you actually fall in love with their hospitality and start loving them. The pillar of this place is the owner.

Uncle gave us every possible privilege to make us feel like home. He is full of love and affection.

We loved him and the place very much!
If anyone who is planning to visit Singapore, should visit Delhi restaurant.
Special kind of love for Indians.😍

Its an Average restaurant. Food was just ok but costly. There are other plenty of Indian restaurants arround which are worth the price you pay.

Got the great ambiance and perfect place for an Delhiite traveling Singapore. Not really remember the name of dishes I had, but the dishes were really good.
You can visit this place if you are missing back Delhi ;-)

Good food that reminded me of South Africa. I had Chicken Tikka masala and butter naan. Also tried what I know as "chilli bites", was fresh and tasty. Would recommend it to anyone visiting little India.

Dont be fooled by the name "Delhi", in restaurant's name.

Their food doesn't taste like Delhi's food,
Punjabi's should avoid this place for good.

Their Dal makhni, is sweet in taste, aloo paranthas were thick & tasted saltless.

Upon complaining, the waiters just ignore & dont even come to address the complaint. After 10 minutes of wait, The manager rudely gives the excuse that no other guests have complained for the Dal makhni or parantha.
Well, At that time i noticed, that 90% tables were occupied by South Indians, who dont even have an idea, about Punjabi Food & its taste.
To summarize: Bad Taste & worst hospitality from the staff & manager.
