Review 1933 - Singapore

Hosted by Poch and his gang. The drinks here pack a punch. As they say, they are in the spirit of always giving. The standard menu has bar bites only but you can request for the restaurant menu. Nice music, great drinks. Is great for group or solo mission.

Found this place as googled for a gathering place during year end. Like it a lot as the location is centralised yet the bar itself gives you the feeling that you are out of the town. We went there when it just opened for evening crowd at 4+. Quite empty so we pretty enjoyed the cool atmosphere just by ourselves... Food is nice. We tried the Dec special cocktail and the classic menu. The classic still standout. My friend has ghd card so has some discount... Will definitely visit the bar again..

Visited twice - once to the bar and once to the restaurant. Had an amazing time at the bar with super tasty and affordable bar bites. Shout out to the amazing service from the crew! Hence the 3 stars and hence the 2nd visit (which took a 180deg turn). Was led to the restaurant side for dinner. Ordered the beef steak, turbot steak, nori pie yee and a side of hand cut potato fries. Wanted to get some bar bites but the service crew said it is not available but guys at the bar were having it (leaving us a little confused) The turbot steak was a huge let-down. Being one of the highly prized species of flat fish, it was overcooked in my opinion that the flesh was not springy at all. The accompanying sauce (Thai olive vert) tasted too sour which killed flavour of the turbot. The steak tasted very ordinary hence i would say it wasn’t worth that price. The handcut potato fries were perfect in terms of the cook and the size of the fries which allowed for easy consumption. My only complain would be the sauce it was paired with - it was too watery that dipping the potato in did not retained any sauce on the fry nor did the sauce get soaked into the fry. Hence the sauce was sort of redundant. The Nori pie tee with alantic salmon was another letdown. The nori shell was probably fried too long and it came out too hard. It doesn’t crumble nicely when bitten into with the filling (unlike the traditional fried crispy cups), and a little jaw action was needed to bite into the nori shell making the entire eating experience a little messy and unpleasant. Quite a flop for my 2nd visit. Can’t discount the great food and drinks at the bar, so maybe just stick with the bar!

The atmosphere, lighting and hardware is nice. Drinks are ok but the bar snack selection can definitely improved. The truffle fries cost 14 bucks but taste like McDonald twisty fries. Food menu is lacking and really has room to beef up or collaborate with their other restaurants within the premise. The bar seems understaff and takes a while to get serviced. Since menu is QR code already, they should consider allowing taking orders online too, this will resolve the staff issue, which was a bummer to the overall experience.

The Bar at 15 Stamford is a great bar to chill and wind down for the weekend 🍸 If you love Rum, this place is a heaven for you. They have a huge rum collection for you to have your fill :) Do go for their signature Phantom Island cocktails! I highly recommend the “Juan De Lisbao Island” cocktail. It has a very unique flavour with a slight sweetness and satisfying kick. The texture of the drink is full and makes you want to drink more and more and even order another glass 😩💦 The other one I went for was “Demon Island” and my it was definitely pleasing. It tasted sweet and citrusy (like honey lemon) with some indescribable taste and the joys of rum. It is definitely a nice cocktail to have on a hot day or if you’re feeling up for more of a fruity and crisp drink ☺️ The bar’s aesthetic is very simple and nice and you can take a lot of nice photos sitting at the bar seats 😉

We got to sit on the lounge area. Ambience is wonderful. Service is great. We got Macallan 15 and Yamazaki 12 for starters and had pinot grigio after.

Atmospheric venue, great cocktails and brilliant bar staff. Timothy the barman was highly knowledgeable when it comes to rum and super friendly. Would definitely come back for casual drinks and nibbles here (the pork crackling was excellent)

This bar is so classy and gorgeous, can only imagine how nice it would’ve been for a special occasion pre-Covid with loads of people around and music on :) Nevertheless the current situation doesn’t stop the team from providing top notch service and we had a really lovely evening here. The rum cocktails are serious business and there’s a nice wine list as well as other cocktails and spirits too if you prefer something else. The Mayan sour (their September cocktail) was the standout for us.
